DEF is another good reason not to even consider buying a newer diesel (not that I could afford one anyway!).

With all the hackers out there in cyberland, I'm amazed that someone hasn't come up with a hack for the engine control computer to make it ignore the DEF tank sensors.

Already available for off road of course. I found one for the duramax.DEF is way better than the filters they used before.

As DSL 417 said - the 2.5 G jugs are sure easy and convenient if more expensive. Is there an issue with using them to fill the tank? I've gone 2500 miles and the tank is on 3/4 so i bought the jug. Any neat tricks for filling?

I buy the jugs at Walmart. Screw on the special fill cap, insert fill tube in DEF tank and let it pour. Don't try this with your vanity slide deployed.

Given my proven ability to do things wrong 5 or 6 times before I get it right, maybe I'll let you supervise in Petoskey!
