DEF Fills
Does anyone know whether there is the ability to add the second DEF fill to the drivers side on a 2016 CS? Price? I see they finally realized they needed to add the fill on the 2017 model. Filling DEF on the door side is a pain.

If you did that you would be in violation of EPA regs and subject to prosecution under the Clean Air Act for tampering with emission control system.

I asked Rick, the engineer at Entegra when I saw the 2017 prototype. The answer was no. They had to do some structural steel frame rerouting in that area to allow clearance for the fill pipe to reach the other side.
Bummer, I really wish I had a left side DEF fill.

Anything is possible with enough money and engineering.

I'm sure they also had to apply for a new emissions certificate.

Sure, but the cost to do it might buy you several 2017 Cornerstones.

Maybe it is just me, but, at $7.88 a jug for DEF at Walmart ($3.15/gal.) and not messing with the pump at a truck stop, filling the tank at my nice clean campsite is really not so bad. Besides, it has been my experience that the Pilot, Love's, and Flying J's all think their diesel fuel is more "valuable" than at a "normal" station. Granted, you have to find a facility that can handle a big rig but, I have managed to do pretty well.
As an example, as of this morning, the Flying J In Seffner Fl, next to Lazy Days, is selling diesel for $2.219/gal. Less than 1/4 mile away on the other side of I-4, Shell is at $1.949. No DEF pump at Shell but, it is an easy pull through. For a savings of nearly $37.00 a fill up, I will live with the occasional trip to Walmart.
To each their own.

Glad to be out of the def game with our 2011 Dip,
but when we had the large deezle trucks in 2012 thru 2015,
I would make a trip by Flying J once every 7k miles or so to use their def pump, then the 20+ cent difference in diesel didn't hurt so much...
(and who's to say you had to fill up with their deezle?)
In fact, I got the good sam FJ card just for the def and pay at the pump...
I did the def box ONCE and was like dang, this is too inconvenient for my lazy self
