Wondering what your preference would be.
I have driven both Eaton 13 speed Automated manual in a Pete and of course the Allison in the M/H and I think I would prefer the Allison in a coach.
I just don’t like the way the Eaton Auto shift works at low speed, just not as smooth as the Allison from a dead stop.

The 4000 Allison would be rated up to 80K I believe. Of course if you are a gear jammer get the 18 speed manual, not for me in a coach [emoji3].

Enjoy the ride,

Richard

Never drove a semi before so I only have the info I gathered from my research. My last Renegade was on an M2 so no comparison there. The Detroit DT12 is also used and was the preferred trans prior to Allison being fully integrated with the DD13/DD16. I have had quite a few Allison’s and have never had a single problem with one and they are as smooth as can be. So happy with that!
