Or a better way to put it is the delivery company they use is having delays due to a lack of drivers.

Our dealer, Sicard's told me earlier this week that the back log is 2 to 3 weeks.

Sicard's sent their own guys to Middlebury to pick up my motorhome so as to meet our pickup date of April 14th. I am happy to report as of last night it is in Canada and at the dealership.

Heading there tomorrow to check a few of the systems such as jacks, air leaks, paint, lights, etc. Hmmm, I wonder where I got that idea from,

WTG Don! I imagine IN manufactures are just now getting caught up from all of the cold weather shut downs,, which means all of the productions are coming off of the lines at the same time.

We were in RV capital Monday and every transport company had Help Wanted signs hanging out. Business is good.

Not only "nope", but when suggested a factory delivery might be a "seller", I was told that this approach (which is offered by Newmar for around $3k) was not in Entegra's interests or business plans for the future:(

I can see their reasoning. If a number of people had delivery issues, there would be times there would be no place to accommodate everyone and production line coaches at the same time.

If you could pick up coaches at the manufacturer it would really hurt the distributors.

That's their reasoning...but Newmar seems to think it works. They assign a tech for four or five days to teach you your coach on site while also fixing anything that goes wrong. You stay in their park at the factory. Price is around $3k. Of course, I'd assume they size staffing and space to accommodate the number of folks that they think will use the offering. results seem positive in reading the Newmar thread, especially for first timers.

Yes it could hurt dealers a little, but if dealers are paid to do it and the factory starts cutting into that profit center, maybe that would be incentive to improve dealer delivery. JMHO, an incentive program driven by customer ratings would be a better approach, but the status quo is not getting it for some.

Talked to CS ar EC today on our 2015 Cornerstone. Went into production on March 25th. Tentatively scheduled to ship in the first week of June. Apparently, it takes 5-1/2 weeks to paint the Cornerstone's. Expect to see coach in Tampa mid June.

According to CS there have been some delays, especially shipping, but they are working through them.

Wierd, We have a 2014 anthem on order. It is just coming out of paint today. CS told me that they will not build any 2015s until the last run of 14s are complete.

I think they are talking about the 2015 Anthems not yet being manufactured. The year change is based on the Spartan chassis. Sounds like the 2015 Cornerstone chassis is in production already and the 2015 Anthem chassis is not yet produced.
