Delivery of my 2015 Cornerstone 45k Begins
Had the second call from Eric over at RVone in Orlando. I've been advised that because of the weather up north delivery has been pushed forward a few days. So I went over on what to expect with Eric.
1. I will go up over the weekend once it arrives and we will do a test drive and go over the coach for things like paint chips, wood scratches or anything that is noticeable. If anything. Go over the paperwork and make sure everything is in order.. Then I'll go back home and things that need to be fixed from the overall walk around will be taken care of.
2. 2nd visit will be the final walk through & demonstration of all the coach's features. Will probably spend a night or two on the RVone lot. Transfer stuff from my old coach to new.. and then if time allows spend a few nights at tropical palms.
That's where delivery is as of today..

Hey garyhz, what interior/exterior color did you order? We ordered a Cornerstone 45K & it should be finished in a week or so, picking ours up at Orlando RV also, probably around the end of Feb. We are getting anxious now.
Monte,
2015 Cornerstone 45K on order😄

Gary,
One suggestion. Make sure that the"getting the paperwork in order" portion of the delivery process occurs AFTER you go through the final demonstration to make sure everything works. The urgency level to get the coach right is directly proportional to the time it takes for them to get your checks!
This is not an indictment of your dealer, it just the best way to make sure everything is done promptly.

Hey Ann or Gene,
We are going to order either the Cornerstone or the Newmar London Aire. How doe the K3 Chassis ride? Is it quiet and trach straight. Is the steering difficult or easy. We heard about Newmar's Comfort Drive steering system in the wind but heard much about the Startan Chassis especially the K3. Does Entegra allow you to mix interial colors. Is the 600hp overkill or needed on the hills? How about the fuel is it much more cost than a 400hp or 450hp?

Didn't mention it in the thread you started, Sky, but the fuel milage is relatively the same.

Traveled about 10,000 miles with a friend in his CS. We didn't notice a diiference in when we needed to stop for fuel. He sure could out pull me in the mountains though and getting up to speed after stop signs or pulling onto the Interstates.

Rides and drives straight, true and easy. Very easy to drive. We wanted the K3 Goethe heavier Allison, bigger, heavier frame suspension and tires and wheels. The ISX has muchmore torque and size. It is geared different and runs highway speeds at much lower RPM. This fuel mileage is about the same but the drive line does not have to work nearly as hard, all lead to better service and longer life. We have had both and for us the Cornerstone is really worth the difference.😀. Really compare the two closely and make the decision that best suits you.

X2 - Ralph & Janet ...
Long story, experienced it was indeed more effort to get anything noticed in orientation "addressed appropriately timely" after paperwork & checks. (tho our issues were w/ a national chain RV dealer, and not an Entegra dealership.) Just say'n... And we will heed the good advice when time to take delivery next time.
Also, thanks to all for info on timeline order date to delivery. Taking notes ...great thread, thanks!

Update on Delivery of my Cornerstone 45K
Had a call today from RVone in Orlando from Eric Hodes my sales Rep.. I've been informed that the Coach made it to the shipping yard, but was held up to have an extended PDI of the rig before it left on it's trip to Florida. I'm ok with this and told Eric that is fine by me, have them go through it with a fine tooth comb.. I went over with Eric some of the things that were on this forum about problems and troubles various Ops have been reporting and hopefully they will be checking those things out too. So for now it's projected to leave the yard by the end of the week. Fingers are crossed..
So far I can't say enough about the communications and keeping me informed. Eric said he's trying to get me a few pictures of the rig in the meantime.. If I get them I will post.. Continued excitement wont go away.

Held up in the yard is not a bad thing if the roads suck. Last year mine spent three weeks waiting in the yard for a delivery driver this time of year.

The roads are terrible atm... Many transport drivers saying they would rather wait out the weather than deliver in bad conditions.. I'd be happy for the slight delay Gary. Ever notice how the general population drives in iffy weather? Having grown up in the Northeast... I would very much prefer my investment not being soaked in salt/sand Slush... One will never remove it all.

I agree with the weather and road statements, it would definitely be better to be on dry roads during delivery. However, since many drivers deliver in all kinds of weather, MHS told us the first thing they do when they come in is wash them, including putting them on a big lift and washing them underneath! They then apply an undercoating to the whole bottom of the coach.
