Destination Middlebury - Today

Heading to Middlebury for PDI next week. Does anyone know if there is a "pet friendly" hotel/motel in town? I thought there was a thread about it a while ago, but can't find it. The DW is not sure if she wants to stay in the MH for the whole week. No hookups makes her uneasy. (OCD)

Not in Middlebury, but seven miles away in Shipshewana there are a couple. Super 8 is one and the German name motel next the Shipshewana South RV park is the other one.

The no hookups are not a problem. There is 50 amp for your comfort. If you need to dump, the dump station with water is just down the street that you can use when they bring your coach back at 3:30. Being that we were not in the coach all day, we really didn't need to dump after the 5 days. My DW was more worried about the 0630 roll call, but she adjusted quiet well.

Looks like the Der Ruhe Blatz is the place. Thanks for the responses. How come I can never find any old threads on this forum?

If/when we go back to Middlebury we won't stay at Camp Entegra. Electricity only was not a problem. The 6:30 handover was kind of a pain but not a problem. There are only so many sights to see in the area, when you need a break you need a place to hang out; big dogs are no longer welcome in the lounge. Even if they were keeping up with them in a group can get old. The area is relatively pet friendly but there are some places we just didn't want to take the dogs and leaving them in the car is not an option.

We can still stop in the lounge once in a while to meet and chat with other owners.
