Detached wiper arm

While traveling I-10 in our 2014 Anthem the DS wiper are detached from the wiper motor. Fortunately it stayed attached to the coach with the washer hose holding on. Upon inspection it appears the ridges on the arm that align with the ridges on the motor drive have rounded out. Checking the PS yielded the same symptom. We moved the PS to the DS and we are continuing our trip. Does anyone know if there is a fix for our arms? Would think maybe a tape of some sort might increase the holding power of the clamp. Any thoughts would be appreciated before I order two new arms.

You might be able to drill a hole from the side and put in a set screw.

Actually, the inside of the wiper arm is very soft metal, so when the arm wears out, the metal will have collected in the grooves, making the grooves look like they have worn. The techs that "replaced" mine cleaned the grooves with a sharp hard metal tool. Then they attached the new arm and it worked fine.

I had thought it meant a new motor or shaft; wasn't needed.

On the early 2014 there was a windshield modification kit to resolve that problem. Call customer service and see if the mod has been done to your coach.

Same thing happened to me. Shortly after taking delivery and traveling on I-10 in Mississippi we came into a bad rain storm. Turned on the wipers and the DS made a couple swipes then went way past the stopping point and rested past the mirror. I had to torque the nut and so far, so good. I use RainX and don't use the wipers very often.

Ditto. Happened to me a year ago

Entegra CS sent me a replacement Wiper arm and pivot shaft mechanism.
