Heading south from MA to FL and paid $2.21 for Diesel fuel on NJ Turnpike on Saturday and yesterday paid $2.03 at Valero station in Danville VA. Prices are finally coming down!!

Thanks for that info George. It is still $2.49 in the mid-west and coming down as we head east and south. I will hold off fueling until I get further south. We left the west coast @ $3.05

I learned this fact a couple of days ago, and it was brand new information to me, so I thought I would pass it along. I was in West Northwest New York state near Fredonia, NY when I needed to take on about 125 gallons of diesel. I used my very trusty and important iPhone app (Gas Buddy) to examine diesel prices close to me, and discovered that there were a series of fueling stations located on the Seneca Indian reservation right off I-90. Their price for diesel was $2.15 or $2.17 per gallon, whereas the price for diesel off the reservation area was $2.75 to $2.95 a gallon. My savings by stopping at the Seneca reservation was ~ $85.00 on that one diesel fuel purchase.

Love gas buddy. We use it all the time at home and on the road. It is surprising how much prices vary in a short distance.

Not in NY, Conn, RI, and Mass where prices are uniformly above $3/gallon at truck stops and $2.79 at Quick Trips (if you could get into one with a 45'er and a attached toad:(

Saw a first today! Two Walmarts on I-80 in Western NE had fuel signs just like truck stops advertise diesel at $2.35 when the truck stops were $2.49. Plenty of room for our size rigs. That was a first for me, I hope more Walmart continue with that.

I usually fuel diesel at WalMarts or Sams, much more than I fuel at truckstops. If you download GasBuddy, you don't need the big signs, and GasBuddy will save you a bundle. I saved ~70 cents a gallon last fill. And yes, if a WalMart or Sams has a fuel area, you almost always can save enough to make it worth finding them, and they always can accommodate a rig with toad. However, I always first look at the address on Google Maps satellite view because some of them can have complicated approaches or the newest ones have so many darn islands and curbs to make the path inside the parking lot a pain. However, if they are there, and the approach is good, they are my preference unless I am really trying to make time, and don't mind paying the crazy upcharge on fuel and the credit card upcharge that is common at truckstops. They are my last resort.

I have been using Gas Buddy for at least 5 years, but I was surprised to see Interstate Walmarts with lighted gas and diesel signs. That was a first for me in 14 years of seasonal travel and 47 of the lower 48 traveled. Plus they were "in town" prices with Interstate convenience. I hope it is a growing trend for Walmarts....a win win for everyone.

I can no longer fuel at the Walmart by my house. They have put so many ice machines and Coke displays in the driveway, I can no long get out of there with my toad connected.

I forgot to mention, we rarely travel the Interstates so the ripoff truck stops is not something we encounter often. Traveling the Highways, almost every town has a truck fuel island at "normal" diesel prices. Gas Buddy comes in very handy with which station ahead is the best stop.

Gas Buddy is the best. Walmart or Sams around Houston do not have Diesel. My !st choice Is BUCKY's 1.97 over Laborday. They have Def for $5.79 for 2 gal.

I love to hear from Some other brand (SOB) hope you have talked to NIRVC about the SOB rally in Vegas. I bet Enterga is going have Special deals for all the SOB that are there!!!!!! Hope to see you there???
