Digital dash reboot
Anyone have your digital dash do a reboot while driving? Scared the crap out of me when it went blank.

29,000 miles and that has NEVER happened to me. I also would be concerned and would get Entegra involved right away.

I have had that happen to me 2 or 3 times. It goes blank and returns in a few seconds. It is so infrequent, I have not pursued it with Entegra, but will at the AIR.
To be sure, it's a pucker moment!

Yes, it has happened to me in coach. It has also happened in my Tesla occasionally over the years. Probably why I didn't get too excited. I don't think it a big deal, but, but let us know if you find out anything interesting.

My 2019 CS rebooted 3-4 times back in mid-late 2018. Once was in a construction zone in Nebraska with law enforcement right behind me.
In the fall of 2019 I went to Spartan in Charlotte for service and requested a flash upgrade to the digital dash. Spartan complied and since then the erratic temp and pressure readings that I was observing on my Valor TPMS disappeared plus the dash hasn't randomly rebooted since that update.

Same condition. Spartan replaced my dash when there for service.

Spartan indicated that this is not normal and I am taking it to a Spartan authorized facility for repair.

good luck, the Spartan Authorized place I took mine to for a pneumatic issue didn't do squat. Had to take it to Charlotte to get it addressed properly.

I forgot the name of the program to flash Spartan updates. It has to be a Spartan approved shop and the computer program updates are a purchase add on. My 19, needed a front end alignment, ATC on the dash was staying on. Florida Spring and Axel had to purchase the new digital dash upgrade from the software company for the dash. I watched them as they downloaded it and entered their Spartan approval code. It is not the easiest system to figure out and I can see where shops would blow it off.

My 2019 does the same. It was every 2-3 days when I first got the coach. I had it fixed at spartan in Charlotte a year ago and now it only happens about once a week. I will have it addressed again at my AIR. It is concerning however it is a quick 5 second reboot.

This would not be the first time that Spartan has had communication problems with the dashs. In 14 with just the small LED information center, there was a constant 1031 error codes with a CEL out of the clear blue sky. Aggravating as heck going down the highway at 70 mph and get the CEL light coming on. Spartan did a recall on the drivers info center, but that didn't solve the problem. It took a software update that Cummins could not do, it had to come from Spartan. I had mine flashed at Entegra. It seems the Spartan software was have a problem communicating with the Cummins ECM software. Once it was corrected, took almost a year, the problem was fixed. Might be a similar situation with the new digital dashes.

We have had problems with the digital dash from day one. Rebooted 10 times. Took it to Spartan in Michigan had a update installed in 2019. It still reboots since then. It is really random. Nothing appears to be causing it.
Our delayed AIR is scheduled for November 2, at Entegra. It is on the list. I hope I do not have to go to Spartan to get it fixed.
