We have an Aspire - no Vega touch. But thanks for the response. We’re on the road as of next Monday. I’ll try to find time to play with it before we leave - or at least early on the trip.

Great idea, thank you for sharing. I also run a radar app while traveling, that will come in handy having it on the overhead TV. That brings up a question, I'll have to try and see if WAZE would load?

I run Waze and Google Maps through Apple TV. I Like Waze better.

Good to know. I have a Firestick in my office that I use to side load apps on. I am going to see if I can side load Waze. Don't now how it would get a GPS signals on a TV box?

Not sure how that would work but if you have android phone you could mirror it to the Samsung TV or use Apple TV with iPhone.

There is an app that will mirror an Apple phone (or a laptop) to a Samsung TV. I haven't used the phone version, but it works well with my Apple MacBookPro.

You could probably use that to mirror Waze from an Apple phone on the overhead TV. It would have to be a phone (or a tablet) to get the GPS to work.

As a side note, wouldn't it be great if Waze was RV friendly (low trees in 1 mile!).

The app's webpage:

https://www.airbeam.tv/mirror-iphone...creen/samsung/

In the case of the laptop---all you need to do is invoke the app and it takes over the TV. You need to do nothing on the TV side of things. It works well with watching movies on the big TV, but on certain video files, it buffers once in a while.

The app shows a dropdown list of Samsung TVs that are turned on---you pick the one you want (usually, only one is on, in my case) and you're good to go.

Here's Waze running from an Apple Iphone XS with the screen mirroring app on the overhead TV. When I started the app, it said "You might want to load the mirror app on the TV too" (which I didn't do).

Adding the app on both sides of the equation, TV and phone, probably improves reliability or speed. There's a 10 second lag between the phone and the TV picture. Not a big deal with Waze, really. (There's enough lag that I quit Waze, got the camera going, and took this picture, before the screen caught up).

Have only just tried it for a minute, so have no idea how good it is in action. The app for the phone is $4.99.
