Direct TV hook up

Just took delivery of our Anthem. I am fairly audio video savy but having trouble with this one. I have the traveler with direct tv. I go through the hook up process and it says it doesnt recognize the swm. I have talked to direct tv as well as Entegra. Everyone is stumped. I think i have either a faulty splitter or a bad swm. Any knowledge would sooooo apreciated.

When I hooked my DirecTV receiver up to my Travler antenna I went through the receiver setup and it worked fine. Have you gone through the full receiver setup procedure from scratch?

Yes but had to add -B switch and a converter box. See the wiring guide for your system

Also, when switching from roof to portable I have to change settings to portable antenna and then reset receiver.

When I hooded up my Directv, on the backside of the coax cable that attached to you receiver. check to make sure the cable with the blue tape is connected to the backside of that 4 connecter panel. you might have to remove the screws to see behind it. The blue coax is from the traveler.

No switch or conveter needed for Travler, unless it is an older receiver.

I have traced all the cables. I do have the blue marked cable attached to the back of the wall plate. Connection seems to be good. I need to get on the roof to check connections up there next.

There is a box on the upper side if the storage bay. I had several cables I the wrong place from factory but easily corrected.

I just bought a 15 ft telescoping ladder.

Re-authorize your receiver......do that in your Dtv account online.

Then reset the receiver by pushing the red button.

Swenster posted a while back that he brought his old receiver from home when he picked up his Anthem. The home receiver was too old and had to be updated to a 24 to work with his Traveler. Direct sent him a new receiver and it worked perfect.
