Direct TV / winegard

Anyone ever have trouble with reception in Napels Fl. With getting reception with HD TV on the traveler winegaurd dish? Mine comes and goes. More often I get a code 721. I've been on the phone with Directv for at least 6 diffent times . Nobody can figure out why I'm not getting reception. All other coaches around me are not having issues. I've reset the receivers at least 5 times no result. They say it's a dish pointing issue however my traveler box says I'm getting 99/101 and 103 as always. Never had this issue since leaving Iowa and have had the dish up 4 times on the way here with no issues????

I had the same problem. After calling DTV they sent a signal through and resolved the issue. Did they try that?

I cannot personally help, but have found calling Winegard to be way more helpful than calling Directv. Winegard support is outstanding and they often seem to understand the Directv system better than the Directv support team. Plus they speak good English and are quicker to answer calls. Good luck

I had a similar problem, if you haven't tried it yet stow your sat dish and put it back up again.

I live 40 miles north of your location. Never a problem with Direct, or DISH and the signal is receivable by your neighbord. Check your antenna direction and be sure nothing is blocking it. (A palm frond?) If it's clear, call Winegard, it sounds like an antenna alignment issue, however slight since it has worked in northern location. However we are at the extreme southern arc of the sat signal. My S&B only has a 68% signal strength. Have you checked your signal strength using the sat receiver? Winegard will walk you through that.

We currently have weak cell phone signals due to the amount of users in my area this time of year. Now that Direct is owned by AT&T, maybe we'll start experiencing the same thing with sat signals.....not enough to go around

Had similar issue at one time.....stowed the dish, re-leveled the coach, let the dish search again and find birds. Had no more issues after that. Something to try if you haven't already done so.

Sometimes mine doesn't lock on to a real strong signal for some reason.
And no resetting or putting dish down and research will fix it.

If you go to menu settings and get signal strength. If it is not in the high 80's or in the 90's.

I go on the roof and move the dish by hand just a little bit to get a strong signal. I only do that when going to stay over a week or so in one spot.
That always fixes the in & out picture.

For overnight stops. I have also had the TV set on signal strength when dish was searching and unplugged the controller real fast when a strong signal showed up. You may need to research a couple time before you get it unplugged at the right time.

Sitting in Naples at Silver Lake now with Dish in motion! Works great! Can't get any over the air or digital sit channels though, but get "local" channels over Dish.

I had that problem a couple of times. The first was due to an intermittent coax connector on the roof, the second time was due to a flakey A-B switch that I use to toggle between the in-motion satellite and the dish.
