Disabling ACC/CMS on Spartan chassis
We have a 18 London Aire on a Spartan K-3 chassis and found out that when we had some paint work done they put the protective mask on the front including the front area for the radar unit and now the unit isn't functioning. Drove the coach around with no problems and we have read some Entegra owners wanted to shut off their unit but there wasn't way. If you cover the front section on the ACC/CMS the unit will not be operational.

Tom, one of our Entegra owners here on the forum found a way to disable to the ACC/CMS functionality by pressing certain buttons in a certain sequence before or as part of engine startup.
I have the relevant notes in our coach and have used the procedure several times when bugs got thick enough on the plastic panel to foul up the system. It basically takes the system back to the same functionality as traditional cruise control.
Our coach is a 2018. I can't recall if the same procedure works on later model years. I'll look around for the write-up and post a link to it when I find it. Or possibly the member who originally posted it will chime in with the info.

That was me Larry. No it’s not the same on late models.
Finally found out how to turn off the collision mitigation system on the 2017-18 coaches. It isn't an on the fly on/off, but here's how if you want/need to.
Before turning on the key press both up and down arrows on the display. While holding both arrows turn the key on. You can now release the arrow keys. Without turning off the key you can now start the mh and the collision mitigation will be off.
For cruise control to work turn it on/off/ and on again then hit the set key twice and cruise will work normal with CMS off.
When you shutdown and restart the CMS will be active unless you do the above again.
I'm not saying to do the above, but I know several people have been looking for a way to turn it on and off.

Tom
When you say “protective mask”, do you refer to the 3M Diamond Brite clear protective film that is applied to the front of your coach?
I don’t understand why that would make the ACC/CMS not work. Are you sure that it wasn’t something else they did that stopped it functioning?
Does regular old fashion conventional cruise control still work on your coach now or is everything gone now?

Yes the front on LA is like the Diamond shield but a different company. I didn't try to use the cruise control when the ACC/CMS wasn't operational. Hadn't thought about using it when we first got the coach back from repaint. I was a while before we started finding that we kind of liked having it on the coach. We have 21K miles and we did have one time for no reason it applied the brakes but didn't bring the coach to a complete stop. Gong on a 3K mile trip starting next week and will see how all goes.
First stop NIRVC in Vegas to have Rettrobands removed till the new bands are out.

I had a 2017 Cornerstone that had cms and it also applied the brakes running down the interstate for no reason! Pretty scary! It was later recalled because, some coaches, mine included, had the sensor upfront installed upside down. You might check! If I had of been in Atlanta traffic when that happened, !

That problem was brought up to me also as a possibility for my problems, but after a check with all the "powers that be" at both Entegra and Spartan, I was reassured that the problem with installing the RADAR unit upside down was a problem that occurred for a very limited time and in a single model year, and had been corrected in all coaches where it was a problem.
