Do you recommend Bluefire?

Soooo, considering all the crazy DEF stuff going on, if you currently have the BlueFire system, do you think it’s worthwhile? Or is it just another thing to make me worry more.

I like mine although it can drop the bluetooth from time to time and be a little finicky. I don't have def or a dpf but it offers some information that really helps when towing such as transmission temp. In other words if it died I would replace it.

I like it for setting up an alternate dash on a tablet. Can display more info at a glance. Can easily get fault codes. Can only reset ones that the problem has been fixed thought, like most others.

Hand - yes. Essential - no.

Later...

I have been using it for about 2-1/2 years and I wouldn't leave home without it. I run it on an iPad and have never experienced a Bluetooth problem.

Doesn't that 21 Dutch Star have a programmable dash? If not I would not leave home without the Bluefire.

I have the Bluefire for my 2015 Anthem. The value in it is being able to check/clear fault codes and inactive codes you didn't even know were loged. If your getting it to clear DEF de-rate, forget it can't do it. It is able to display a great deal of information. You can set up all these gauges and log all kinds of info then look at it and go "WOW". Most of the data is kinda useless in my opinion. But it is fun to see all that data, I guess...
