Dog House Removal

Has anyone removed the doghouse cover in a Vision 29s or other model? (I think the dash is basically the same for the Vision and the Jayco Alantes)

I'm asking because there is a 1" - 2" flange on the rear of the cover which doesn't look like it would allow the cover to be slid out from under the dash skirt. I guess that means potentially dismantling the entire dash system to get to the engine???!!!

A couple of photos are attached showing the back of the doghouse from the drivers side and through the center console opening.

Oh, and the flange is glued to the plywood under the dash, so I would also need to detach maybe with a putty knife?

The doghouse should slide back and lift up to get access to the motor. The flanges are supposed to hold it place. Have you tried to pull it up?
