The reefer in basement appears to be run right off the Battery Bus, and is live all the time, unless of course it is turned off or batts disconnected. Is that right?

Should run off battery and 120v. Turn it off when not in use. If leaving the lid open, use something to push down on the light switch button or the bulb will burn out.

It choses its power source. If 120 AC is available, that's its power. If not, it switches to 12 volt. Recepticle in the front bay is not on the inverter.

Since I'm always either at home hooked up to 50 amp or on the road, rarely boondock, I keep mine on all the time. Very much like the residential refrigerator. Why turn them off? I've had units last twenty plus years.
