That's what I did, but didn't take it off. Noel

Gotta keep saying big thanks to those who post issues here!!!! Until this thread we thought we were alone with the rattling door hinge on the road and the door that didn't want to stay open...took a video where you can hear the rattle and see how loose check arm is. Sent it to Entegra, new door check arm on the way! We are very soon on our own dime for all the poor mfg that Entegra bought from, but every little heads-up really helps!

Doug, on the 2014 there was a Velcro that was suppose to keep it from rattling. I can't remember if it was top or bottom, but on my 14 I just pushed or pulled the arm up enough it was actually riding on the pad and it stopped the rattle. I see the new arms have a round button to pressure on the arm. Noel

After putting on my new arm a few months ago I had the chance to try it out on the drive North yesterday. Not working!!! While the rattle is somewhat quieter than before and the arm is tight (no up and down motion) in the nearly closed position but it is still making a racket. There is a piece of felt on the top of the door but it does not appear to be doing any good.

Don, that's what I was talking about. You can bend the arm down to where it is resting pretty snug on the felt pad and it will stop the rattle, at least it did on my previous 2014. Noel

Noel,
Thanks, I will give that a try and see how it is on the next leg.
