Drive lights on

So trying to figure out why my drive lights are on , they were off when we arrived at park , then came home the lights were on. I checked the switches and they are off. the steering wheel buttons are illuminated and lights are on with ignition off. So i triple check all switches are off. Then cycled the igntion on ACC and on without starting the RIG. Still no change .. The only way they come off is with the ignition turned all the way to the left but then i can not take the key out. Any ideas ? this is the first for me.

Driving lights are also triggered by the transmission shifter. They come on when the transmission is shifted out of park.
Other than that, I suspect a faulty ground connection as over 80% of all 12V issues are the result of a poor/missing ground connection.
