Drive Side Console House Battery Switch

Has anyone replaced this switch with one that a dog can't turn off? Thanks

Unfortunately, the solution for the 2017 and newer won't work on older coaches.

The 2017 and newer went to a BlueSea remote battery switch that uses positive voltage to trigger both on and off, so the pet proof switch made for it only needs to be a SPST type.

The older coaches use the BigBoy RBS and it requires reversing the voltage polarity. That requires a DPDT switch and no one to my knowledge has found a similar pet proof switch with DPDT contacts.

Your best solution may be fabricating a cover for the entire switch panel, or jamming something under the switch so it can't toggle. The first thread linked above has some alternate ideas

This is the link I used to replace the driver side DC switch on my 2017 Anthem. It was an easy job and took me about an hour to do the switch and led light.

I am glad I did and feel much more comfortable when I leave my dogs in the coach alone.

The OP has a 2013 according to his sig, so my post on replacing the switch won't work for him unless he were to replace the BigBoy latching relay with the BlueSea.

We just covered ours with a small rectangular bowl - 5 years of use, 3-4 dogs each trip, never moved that bowl.

I made this out of 1/8 Lexan. I think it should do the job.

I had a plastic company fabricate a 5 sided box out of thin lexan or plastic of some type (Black) and the box covered the whole instrument panel. When not in use for dog or cat proofing, the box laid on the floor between my driver seat and the wall. Simple.

Lexan will bend using a heat gun. Heat it up where you want to bend it then push down at the edge of the work bench. I keep Lexan scraps on hand as they come in handy for so many projects.

I broke it on a 4' long sheet metal break. You can bend lexan but not plexiglass samething with drilling a hole in it. If you break it on a vice you will need to use a heat gun.
