Driver side window leaking

My driver side window has been leaking for a while. At first, it only seemed like during hard rain. Now it leaks pretty much with any amount of rain, or just washing the coach. It leaks through the seal at the slide window. Called Entegra and they said no longer available. They gave the Lippert part number. Anybody have some suggestions? I also spent $325 to have it tinted with ceramic tint to keep the heat out, which works awesome btw. Oh well! Now I just discovered a small crack in the small lower glass next to the slider. Need the entire window replaced.

It sounds to me that you are going to have to be the person that is going to have to figure out and repair the problem on this one. Either you have a seal that has become hard and not "sealing:" or you have a lack of caulking around a running light fixture or a window seal that is no longer sealed. Here is where you earn your stripes as a coach repairman/owner !!

I was a professor for 40 years before I became a motorcoach mechanic..... I liked being a professor a lot more.

That doesn't sound right. There's a ton of coaches out there with that same window. I can't imagine that a replacement is not available. Just because they use a different part number for today's coaches doesn't mean there's not enough volume to keep making that window. Entegra gave you the Lippert part number so I would expect if Lippert makes them they should be able to take care of their customers and get a window. What do you do otherwise - duct tape a piece of plexiglass there or throw the coach away? Entegra should be able to service their existing customers with a window.

Called Lippert, they are on a "made to order" basis for that window. Need to know the wall thickness in order to get the right Trim Ring. Entegra has been pretty much zero help on this. They cant even tell me how thick the wall is when they made the coach. I measured and came up with 2 5/8", which happens to be one of the 5 or 6 different sizes listed. Fortunetley, seems to be covered by Progressive with a zero deductable. They will cover $25 of the $325 ceramic tint job I just had done.

That's good to know. I was not aware of that. FL has 100% glass coverage with no deductible, but I always thought it applied to windshields. Nice to learn something new.

Thanks, but I think this whole thing will be covered under my insurance with no cost. I just have to wait for them to get the window and then it has to be shipped to my installer. I’m in Tucson now.

A slot on the outside of the bottom track towards the front.
