Drives Like a Boat, No Acceleration, Wind Noise Galore-Had to Have a New One!

Nope, not my Conerstone….. We had purchased a used 2 door Jeep Wrangler when we got into motorhomes and have had so much fun in the desert and on the beach with the tops off we just bought a new Unlimited for our second car. For the price it didn't compare with the other vehicles we looked at but we enjoyed the old one so much I couldn't resist………..

Point of my post - Has anyone used the Mopar wiring harness with their Entegra? The dealer want's to use the factory harness so it will be covered under warranty if something goes wrong. Looking at the jeep forums it appears some MH's work the factory Mopar harness and some MH's plugs have to be rewired. My manuals are in the shop with coach getting the radiator replaced and I seem to have been deleted from the Entegra Owners section of the website. I would rather not have to rewire the plug in the Cummins parking lot………..

We love our Jeep I installed this one: JK Tow Harness Deluxe Kit - CoolTechLLC

Super easy plug and play install. Note that you do not need the battery disconnect.

I've tried calling them several times and also sent an email which they have not responded to. I would need to get the harness overnighted so I can pick the coach early next week. Maybe I will hear back from them today……...

I didn't have to rewire anything. Our Jeeps have the TowDaddy wiring harness but either way, they run up front to the 6 prong socket on the front bumper and connect to the coach with a 6 pin cord with a 7 pin RV style connector on. When I migrated from the Allegro Bus up to the Entegra the same cord worked because both RV style sockets were wired in the standard pinout specification.

They butchered the harness when they removed it from the old jeep so I can't reuse it. The dealer wanted to put in a Mopar harness but they wanted a ridiculous price for installation. After looking at the installation directions I know why and didn't want to tackle it myself. CoolTech did call back this afternoon and I have one on the way.

Thanks to all for the feedback!

I've used the Mopar wiring harness on my last two Wranglers (2013 Cornerstone and 2015 Cornerstone), no problems other than installation, it's a bit#%... If I were to buy another Wrangler I would definitely install the Mopar harness again...
