Dryer Vent Cleanout & Mod

Finally got around to cleaning out the outside vent - I had searched awhile ago but did not find much. So I took a couple of Pic and though I would post them.

1. Removing the outside cover - on mine - I used fingers to push down on the inside of the cover "Red Arrow" and was able to pop it off. This is the part to be very careful doing because you can break off the tabs from what I got reading the other comments.

Because the vent is siliconed to the body - I used a knife to cut a section on three sides so I could put my fingers in to pull all the lint out. Then was able to push it back in.

Just take that plastic screen out. Been taking them out since 2014. Entegra has some vents without screen some with. Itís just a lint catcher.
