Dumb Question #9 for Cornerstone owners...

I own a 19 Cornerstone and I have a simple question for other Cornerstone owners. My passenger side slides have white LED lights under the front lip of the bottom of the slides from front-to-back that essentially lights up the grounds or basement slides areas under the slides, but the passenger side slides have no LEDs or any similar lighting. So simple question.... did the factory "forget" to add the LED lights to the passenger side of my coach, or did someone simply decide that the under-slide illumination (LEDs) was necessary on the passenger side but unnecessary on the driver side??????

It has bothered me for three years now, so I am asking..... Inquiring minds want to know.....

Gary

Hi Gary - That engineer, who has never stepped inside a motor home, decided that nothing on the drivers side bays of the coach was important. Who needs access to the wet bay at night or the AquaHot for that matter. Those only require attention during daylight hours. Or at least that's what he thinks he learned in grad school.

Go to Home Depot and fix it, but do all your work in daylight hours.

I have strip led lights on the passenger side slides only, none on drivers side.

X2, which I thought was strange on the 21. I thought the 19 had them on both sides, or maybe I am thinking of the 14 that I wired. But for sure the 19 had them on the patio side.

Nope, the 19 didn’t have them on the drivers side. I thought they forgot them as well so I asked and they said no. Why, I have no idea. I looked and it didn’t seem like an easy mod either.

Same with my '18 Anthem. Best guess is that it is the patio side and it provides us with more light for night time activities not needed on the drivers side.

They cheaped out on them. I put them in on my Classic and use them regularly. While you are added put some boggie lights. You 've got a nice coach, would be good additions. You can't take it with you.

HHHHHHHhhhhhhhmmmm....

Guess I have to re-read my posts before I publish them.....

I said "the passenger side" when I meant the driver side twice in my first post before I finally got it right the third time. I really appreciate you guys ignoring the fact my question was confusing a hell as it was written and interpreting what I must have wanted to say and know anyhow. Very nice of you...

Now Ricci, I would bet that you are "on to" the fundamental fact of the situation since I am disappointed to know that the "dark side of my coach" at night was not a mistake. Nothing of any importance happens on the driver's side at night with the possible exception of tripping over the SaniCon hose, the sewer pipe, the water hose, or the power cord, I guess. And nothing in the wet bay or power bay ever needs looking at at night, and I never smack the hell out of my head trying to get anything out of or into the three general storage bays at night.

They DID forget to give me a shower seat coming down the assembly line, so it seemed possible that they simply also forgot to install LED lights down the "driver side" of my coach also. Damn!

Well, Gary, (NowABeachBumb), I think that it looks like a piece of cake to install LEDs under that side too.....Might be wrong. They sell strings of LEDS already inside of plastic waterproof clear tubes by the yard or foot. Would just install with clear silicone. I think I'm going to add that to my list of "things to do" some time in the future.

I was really hoping they forgot the lights and they would do it free.... --

Gary

I added them on my 14 on the drivers side. They were great for having to get into the basement, or opening the gray valve at night. I used them often

Neither my '17 Insignia nor '18 Anthem had lights on the drivers side
