Easy way to access HDMI ports on an RBQ salon TV?
Is there an easy way to access the HDMI port on the salon TV in an RBQ. Looking at them with a mirror I don't see a way to get to them.
I am trying to connect a Chromecast and open for ideas.

Buy a HDMI switch. It's like an extender cable, mine has 3 HDMI ports on it, connected to on port on your TV. The trick is plugging into that one port. Get someone with skinny arms........

We occasionally like to hook the computer to the tv in order to watch items. I have an HDMI cable plugged into one of the HDMI's and leave the end of the cable on the bottom right corner of the tv. I had to remove the tv in order to do this, but now shouldn't have to do it again. I also purchased a smart blueray player, so we can now watch as if our tv was 'smart', but it isn't.

I have wondered the same but in a 44b plan... the hdmi plugs are in the side where you can't get to.
About all could come up with is taking down the actual tv or have a audio shop do it ... not the solution anybody wants to here..

You are both on the same page as I am. Remove the TV or add an HDMI splitter to the satellite HDMI cable or a male female cable. I was hoping there was an easier way , thanks

Hi Chuck,
I was in the same situation as you. Another Entegra owner helped me, by using his phone to take a picture of the HDMI ports on the side of the TV. Not sure if you have the same make and model as mine, but once we discovered the exact location of the ports, we were able to squeeze our hands in the narrow area to connect the HDMI cable.
Cheers!

Chuck,
I have [had] the same issue. When trying to connect an Apple TV to an HDMI port on the side of the TV. Could not see an easy way to get to the ports or to remove the TV. Like HarleySG said, I slipped my phone into the area and snapped a photo of the plug. Knowing the right orientation of the plug was the most important part. With that info, I was able to use one hand from the bottom and the other from the side to get the cable plugged into the port.
First time, it took me about 15 frustrating minutes to finally get it connected. I disconnected and connected the cable about 3 more times...don't ask! Every time I connected, it was faster. The last time I connected the final cable, it probably took me 10 seconds to hit the plug.
just takes little patience and perseverance.....

On the 14 RBQ, it is a Samsung dumb TV. The HDMI plugs are on the back of the set, up behind the Bose sound bar. The sides of the TV are both against walls with no room for anything. I am going to remove the sound bar tomorrow and see if there is room to get a cable in there, but I doubt it without removing the TV. However that would still require a male/female HDMI cable to be usable for a Chromecast/Roku or other connections.
I believe the simple way to do it is with an HDMI splitter https://www.amazon.com/Bi-direction-...=hdmi+splitter
Or a HMDI extender using the Satellite "in" cable with the Chromecast plugged into the extender. https://www.amazon.com/LINESO-Female...=hdmi+extender The Chromecast would only be use in areas of no satellite service.
I like easy and removing the TV does not fall in that category. Hope this might help others with the same situation.

On the last two rv's I only did that once...
first one I put a hub in,
this one I plugged in an extension cable that I leave attached to the tv.

I wish I could do that, however the HDMI plugs are on the back of the TV and the TV is bolted to the wall. Outside of that...no problem

Are you trying to use the port for your chromecast connection to access Netflix/ amazon tv etc? If so you can get a 99.00
DVD player with built in internet connection that does all this at Wally World... using the factory set up with existing hdmi already connected.. just another thought. That's what I am currently doing. Connects to my mobley just great...

I ran into a similar situation with our RBQ when I tried. Didn't have time to take a closer look. Figured it all else failed, we just use the bedroom TV. Much easier access.

The Chromecast will be used to connect DISH Anywhere when we can't get satellite. With the Chromecast I can connect to my home DISH Hopper and still be able to get satellite. I think I can still access my locals and the recorded shows do come through on the Chromecast. I did hook it up to the front TV and everything worked fine including the locals. The Mobley sure opens a lot of doors for us.

I removed the Bose sound bar to where I could see behind the TV with an inspection mirror. The TV is so tight against the wall Entegra used 90 degree connectors to plug in the existing HDMI cables. An HDMI splitter or extender off of the HDMI to the satellite receiver is the way to go without removing the TV.
