If you are out of warranty and go in just for updates, there is a charge. It use to be $99. now $400. Cummins normally has all the computer bugs worked out in the first couple of years.
Yep, I agree but they will tell you if you need any of the updates based on your vin. It tells them if there is anything outstanding on the Coach. Now $400.00 is another story. Somebody must have told them what we are paying for insurance.

Where did you read that your engine only had a two year warranty? Entegra's warranty is two years.

Entegra 2 year warranty
Spartan 3 year warranty
Cummins 5 year warranty

That is what my ownership warranties show.

Here's the Cummins RV engine brochure showing the warranty as 100K miles or 5 years. This is for the X15, but it's the same for other models.

It use to be that over the road use was 2 years, but RV use was 5 years. Can anyone that has purchase an 18 confirm what the warrant period is with their purchase.

I am trying to find it on Cummins web site, but no luck yet.

It's unlikely you'll find anything dated 2018 on their website. Anyone with a 2019 RV has an engine built in 2017, even earlier for a 2018.

This is dated 2017, but it's still current:

Thanks Bill, in addition I found this http://www.rvnews.com/article.php?id=2226
under "unmatched support".

Glad the warranty has not changed for RV's, the big engine still have a 5 year warranty. I hope this helps others understand there is an OTR truck warranty and and RV warranty, both are not the same.

Cummins does keep it well hidden. They did on the classic as well.

If you see the term “Vocational Use” they are talking RVs.

The Cummins literature is confusing when you see it on the rack in a Cummins facility, if you ignore the first page. Online it’s even worse.

5Yr/100K for us.

Don’t feel bad, this topic came up almost every year on the Tiffin forum.
