To be exactly correct, Century Fluid's name is: Century Chemical TF-1 Heat Transfer Fluid, Century Chemical TF-1 Heat Transfer Fluid

Glad it was the easy fix of resetting the switch and thanks for the update. I learned where to check first.

I had a similar issue, diesel worked, but not electric. In mine it was the relay that had burned out.

Fluid levels

It is important to maintain your boiler antifreeze level at or slightly above the cold mark on your bottle. It is even more important to use the same color fluid. I use Century Transfer Fluid solar and hydronic system antifreeze yellow premix. Note that your choices are yellow or red. The yellow is fairly close to green when looking at it through the bottle.

My fluid level is definitely a little low. Is is 2 or 3 inches below where it should be on the tank lines.

I ordered a jug of the yellow from amazon. I never had to add a drop of this into my 17. I think my 22 was at the right level when I got the coach from NIRVC but I am not 100% sure. Either way I will get my level perfect and hopefully it will stay that way.

I was thinking maybe that is why my electric heater high temp switch tripped? It has not tripped again.

I've been battling this for a year, finally got the answer from aquahot yesterday. the new units have a 205 degree high temp limit on the AC electric, on the 450D we have engine glycol circulating through the aquahot so we can have hot water and heat from the engine while driving. The new Cummins X15 runs between 200 and 220 degrees on a hot day in the mountains, it doesn't take long for the engine to bring the boiler fluid temp above the 205 limit and trip the AC breaker in the junction box. Aquahot service tech told me this is a common problem with newer coaches, he said the remedys are to purchase and install a 215 degree limit or to install a ball valve in the engine coolant loop that can be throttled or closed to reduce or stop engine coolant flow throngh the aquahot when driving in extremely hot weather. I think I am going to do both because it is a pain to have to reset the AC limit after driving all day.

Wonder if turning off the circuit breaker for the unit would help ??

I don't think so because the AC high limit is a mechanical breaker that trips on temperature only so it will trip when powered or not.

Following up on this.

I had this problem again. My heat limit switch tripped again. It did not trip because of engine heat. Electric hot water was working fine for a few days while parked then tripped.

I got this fault on Vega touch from Aquahot.

This time I was at home and fully topped off the Aquahot fluid. It was low. I then reset the little switch. (Be sure to turn off AC power breaker to hot water first)

I hope this was just low fluid. If I keep losing fluid I will have to deal with that. And if the switch trips again I will replace it. Not much space to work in that area.

I am assuming the picture with the red line is the circuit breaker?? Where exactly is this on the unit? Front, back or side?
I made a note to help me remember next summer when we are driving around out west.
thanks
Van

The picture is inside the little stainless steel box on the left side as you look at the aqua hot.

You pull the main aqua hot cover. (3 screws on mine)

Then you loosen the two screws on the little stainless steel box. You remove the cover after loosening the screws. The mechanical high temp limit switch and the electric heater are in the little stainless steel box.

Turn AC power off to the Aquahot before you try to reset the breaker. It is very crowded in the little box.
