Do I need the inverter on if I have the refrigerator and microwave off?
I apologize for giving incorrect information. I am not use to an Entegra have a Xantrex inverter/charger. The information I gave was for a Magnum inverter. My last Xantrex was a 2002 and I am sure they are totally different now.
I could, on my old one, turn the inverter off and just run off of shore power which is the way I had it set most of the time. I don't remember what settings, if any, I had for charger control outside of the amps for the batteries.

Buddy110,

I understand you have two L-16 batteries but are they flooded or AGM and who makes them? With this information I can let you know if they are being properly charged and how to correct if not.

I will confirm, but I am pretty sure they aren't AGM.

I'll be very surprised if they aren't AGM as they take a bit of work to get at. Plus the clearance between the top of the battery and the compartment ceiling is tight making it nearly impossible to water them without a watering kit. The compartment is sealed and vented but not a suitable place for a wet cell battery bank to live IMO.

See my post for pictures of the battery compartment:

Can't find a Harris brand L-16 AGM 6 volt battery so perhaps they put their sticker on the Discover L-16 battery. If you have Discover L-16 AGM batteries then you can check your settings under "Basic Settings" on the Xantrex panel. Check to see if you have at least AGM set for the battery type which will give you Bulk/Absorb 14.3v and Float 13.4v. This is not bad but is not the best settings for these batteries. If you would like something better and are comfortable changing settings send me a PM. This inverter has a 150 amp battery charger so the charge rate should be at a maximum of 70%, any higher and you are putting more AH into the batteries than the manufacturer recommends. If you could take a picture of your basic settings and post that would be ideal.

I will pull the cover when I get the coach out of storage next week. Then I will PM you

Thank you so much!

It is entirely possible things have changed, so take this info with a grain of salt.

Unless things have changed since August, EC has been sourcing batteries through Harris Battery. The L16s AGMs we have are actually manufactured in Canada 🇨🇦 by Discover.

Matt,

Nothing has changed as far as I know. Entegra has been using Harris Battery for several years now.
