Elusive blue wire

I’m trying to attach a red led to the dash to alert me when the toad brakes are activated. I understand that the blue brake controller wire works well for this. Unfortunately, the wire in the dash is not labeled. I attached a photo of the only blue wire I can locate in the rats nest behind the display. Is this the correct blue wire? If so does it matter where I splice into it at i.e. before or after the white connector. And is one of these a ground wire? I intend to cut the wires and attach them to the led with Ancor heat shrink butt connectors. Oh, and the wiring from the AF One is routed to the 6 pin connector on the toad already.

Full disclosure, what I know about 12 volt power would fit easily in a thimble.

Auto manufacturers used many blue, red, yellow, green, brown, black wires in their wire looms. You will have to test and make sure the blue wire is the actual one you are looking for first.

That’s not the correct blue wire.
The wire you want is in the wire harness from rear of coach for a manual brake controller.

Thanks Jerry. It didn’t look right. I found another blue wire paired with a purple one not attached to anything inside some black conduit with a couple of red wires. Still doesn’t look right so I’ll call Entegra tomorrow.

Yeah, I’ve seen that and several other threads. Unfortunately, my brake controller wiring is not labeled nor can I find a similar looking bundle after rooting around in the wiring for a couple of hours. Par for the course for me, 30 minute job morphing into something much more. I’ll pull the nav and camera screens today on the off chance that the controller wiring may have been moved on the 2021’s. Pam thinks it will be a “miracle” if the instrument cluster works when reassembled as I’ve completely disconnected all the wiring to it in an attempt to increase access to the mess behind it. Little does she know I photographed the connections before removing them.

Have you looked behind the panel on the floor by your left foot?

One my classic, the trailer brake wires are behind the "speedo" on the left side. They're clearly marked.

Found it

I found the trailer controller wiring harness behind the VegaTouch screen. It was clearly labeled, just not where I expected to find it. The two yellow wires from the rear of the coach were bundled along with the controller wires. I ended up using spade connectors as the Blue Dog led (red) had 26 AWG wire. I used yellow males for the blue and black wires and red/pink females on the led wires. I mounted the led directly underneath the top center screw. Photos loaded upside down for some reason. Thanks one and all for your help.

The screws holding the instrument cluster can strip the plastic dash pretty easy. Use care when removing them and re installing them.
I am pretty sure that your brake wire is labeled as the photo shows.
I used a wire tap and mounted the light diode in the upper right of the panel.
