Emergency Exit Window fell out
I was working in RV today and opened ER exit window for more air...when closing I opened it up wide and the whole pane came out. Luckily I had a grip and didn't drop the glass. The issue is I can't seem to get window back in frame. Anyone have any experience with this?
The glass has a frame attached that has a "J" type hook, and the frame
itself has a J type hook. I assume the "J"s hook together but I can't seem to get them to hook together.

Ha, I had the same thing happen several years ago on our 2013. May not be the same brand windows but they are probably similar.
Spent a long time trying to get it to go back together without much luck, it was awkward working on it from a ladder.
Mine had a foam rod in the groove where the two extrusions mesh. DW finally suggested removing the foam rod so they would go together easily. That worked! Then I forced the rod back in after the extrusions were meshed. Think I used a plastic card edge (like an old credit card) to prevent damage while I squished the rod back into place.
Good luck!

I believe the emergency windows, when opened 90 degrees, are designed to fall, so you can bail out. I have never tried to open mine, but if I could open it, remove it, let the fresh air in (when not 100 outside), that would be nice. Anyone open these often?

I open and test mine at least once a year. Want it to work when I need it.

We open ours almost every time we use the coach. In the past, they have become extremely difficult to open and usage helps make things work easier.
We want to ensure the kids can get out unassisted.

My wife hands items out the bedroom window to me quite often, and I keep telling her to watch how far she opens it because it might become disconnected and fall off. She uses it like a drive-through window. Maybe I should order a spare for the time that it is going to fall. It is well tested and opens easily, that's for sure.

Well in that case Bob you should put a ledge on the outside at the bottom of the window and post a menu with prices beside the window.

Finally got the window back in. I did have to take out rope weather strip and hold window between a 45 & 90 degree angle to get it back in. Getting the weather strip back in was not easy.
Also for those who open these window often or those trying to get one back in...there are set screws on the inside through the frame that holds the emergency window in place. I'm sure it just keeps it from rattling when going down the road. SO if you hear a new rattle may want to check those screws.
Thanks to Voltdoc for advice on getting it back in!!!
