Well Newmar decided to.go with pneumatic operating hatches. That means that you must have air in order to open the engine hatch and, once you've dumped the air, you cannot open the hatch without re-airing the system. Just how dumb is that? The plus side is there is no motor to replace. I agree that it more trouble than it is worth. BTW Newmar's floor are electrically heated.

Rev Roy,
If you talking about dumping the air in the suspension I would think you would still have air in all of your air tanks to do other air functions. Check the air gauges after dumping the suspension.

Moryde sells the struts. I bought a couple a few years ago. I'll see if I can find them and post a part number for you.

Did you replace the electric motors with struts? If so I would love the part number. Thanks!

My intention was to replace the motors but I never got around to it. Pics below of the strut and part number. Looks like Moryde had them custom stamped with their part number. Nothing else is on the tube.

This is for a 2017 CS.... I'm not sure if anything has changed for the 2021...

Sell the Cornerstone and get a Insignia! EVERYTHING is manual, including the engine hatch... Lol.

When ours were replaced under warranty, the part number listed on the Morryde shipping ticket was UO136-1929P.
