Not sure of your make or model, but nothing in my users manual advises against it. That said I never start my rv while plugged into shore power. Figure one source of power is enough and with all the electronics in the rv don’t want to take a chance.

I always have mine plugged in when I start it up to jack down and pull slides in. Unplugging is usually the last thing I do.
Later...

Next question should probably be do you plug in while the engine is running. If not, then why? You start while plugged in so reverse should hold true. I’m a firm believer in not mixing power sources. Put you have to do what your comfortable with.

Camp is all set up I did not place coach in drive. After backing in so the solenoids we're not allowed to be blocked is what stop jacks from sinking. Is what I was told Anthem 2015

It is safe, but why would you? If you are stationary, it's best to not just start the engine unless you can get it and the transmission up to operating temperature and that takes a lot of idling or driving about 20 miles.

Iíve been in situations where high winds are expected with incoming storms. As a precaution Iíll pull in the slides but before I do that the coach has to be off the jacks and at ride height. I donít unplug in this situation.

When I need to air up my suspension to raise the coach to ride height to move a slide for instance I turn off the charger on my Magnum electrical control panel before, or if I forget, immediately after I start the engine so the alternator and the charger aren't both trying to charge the chassis batteries at the same time.
I get a minute or less grace period to get to the switch before the alternator starts charging. Sometimes I get an ALT telelight on the dash when I forget. I do have a TRIK-L-START installed so that may affect whether or not I get the ALT light.

Since the only path from the shore power to the battery is through the charger it won't make any difference. The engine alternator will charge the battery and the A/C powered charger (probably an inverter/charger) will charge the battery but there won't be any conflicts as the battery doesn't care where it gets it's power from.

Multiple 12 volt power sources usually work fine together without special electronics.

Multiple AC power sources tend to destructively fight one another. They require special electronics to work together.
