Entegra and Covid
Has anyone heard how Entegra is doing with getting back to business during this difficult time? I’m wondering if they have lost any employees who don’t want to come back or moved to other careers. I’ve heard a little about the service operation but not about the factory, which may be significantly affected by inability to get parts.

Good question. I pushed the order button on 4/29. Ted Cook indicated that it takes a full month under normal circumstances just to order parts in. He hedged his bet with my order due to parts vendors. I'll check with him Mid June to see what's what. That should give us a picture of how things are.

I am also waiting to hear since I have a coach somewhere in production. No communication yet from production.

We signed and returned our paperwork 18 March and Ted told us yesterday that they are ordering parts now for a start date the 1st week in June. According to Ted we are looking at a delivery date the last week in August. we are now looking into changing our delivery location from Atlanta to either Surprise, AZ or Las Vegas because we are going to be in Sturgis, SD for the rally and want to maybe go to the rally in Las Vegas also so a pick up out there would make more sense I think. Time will tell if we can make that happen.

That puts us mid October, I suspect. Good time to travel

Service Center is working. Entegra factory is also, but at a slowed pace as many of the parts suppliers are slow to ramp up. Covid is affecting everything. If you’ve read the letter Joyce sent out, I can confirm they are sticking to the intent she outlined in her letter.
I also spoke with Pat Carroll, and he confirmed that production is impacted by the availability of parts, and is definitely impacted by Flexsteel’s complete departure from the RV market.
Mothership camping lot is almost empty.

The empty camping lot in Middlebury is a bit deceiving due to the Wuhan (don't want people to forget from whence it came) service policy. Drop off your coach, disinfect, pick up when service is complete. No overnight stays, or even access, while being worked on. It may be a bit much, especially if 8 days are required, to stay in a hotel at your expense. NewMar continues to allow overnights while service is being performed. We're completed today, and happy about it. Be even happier when this whole viral episode is over.

One significant caveat: I stayed a couple of nights, at my own expense, in early February before the COVID-19 restrictions began at
the Essenhaus Inn & Conference Center ( https://essenhaus.com/rooms-amenities/ ). I understand that Entegra has an account at the Hampton Inn and, if they're paying for lodging, that's where they'll send you.
When I was there, my lodging was for my convenience. I found the rate at Essenhaus to be better than the Hampton Inn and the complimentary breakfast to be much better.
Take care,
Stu

Unfortunately when I called Essenhaus was closed due to virus and Entegra isn’t paying.
On edit I called Essenhaus and they are now open. I would rather stay at Essenhaus, but Hampton gave us a lot better rate and I’ll see tomorrow if Essenhaus will match it.
Thanks Stu

Hi J.H.,
Oops. I apologize. I didn't do due diligence. I just "presumed" that the fact that their website showed that rooms were available for dates next week that they were open. I guess not.
Sorry.
Take care,
Stu
