The vendor at last weeks FMCA rally in York Pa had some on display. Nice looking black glass tops that are made to flush mount . Plug was a standard 2 prong 120 V. type.
Here is a link to the same cooktop brand as sold by Amazon.
Amazon.com: True Induction Double Burner - Counter Inset Model: Home & Kitchen
Stolfus RV Sales had a nice Winnebago Tour and a Tiffen Zepher that had this particular brand as OEM . Both were nice looking coaches BTW

Our coach cooks quite well on 30 amp and connected to shore power. I just cooked dinner yesterday on the cooktop with 30 amp. However, please note that you cannot cook with 30 amp and run the air conditioner at the same time. You will trip then breaker.

Without having seen my Entegra yet, that doesn't look like it would be hard to change out if someone wanted to upgrade to Induction Cooking. I am sure the DW will be looking at this and it might be my first "mod". No it won't I already have my basement light switches and ready to buy the parts for the basement "J" hanger shelves.

That cooktop is larger than the one in the Entegras. I have considered making this change, but it will be a tight fit and most likely require cutting a larger hole in the counter top.

As others have responded I specifically checked the new Anthem44B and DLQ at the Atlanta RV rally this week and it indeed has a glass heating element top. I asked Ted Cook from Entegra and he confirmed that but did not elaborate on why they chose a heating element instead of induction. I saw the True Induction cooktop shown on this link, available thru Amazon, and it is the model in a Winnebago Tours. The ratings are very good and my DW and I love to cook on induction. I plan on swapping out tops when my Anthem is delivered.

With induction cooking, the energy of the burner is magnetically coupled to the pot and turned into heat. The burner itself only gets hot to the extent that it is in contact with a pot that has gotten hot. As a result, the cooking process is extremely energy efficient and produces very little extra heat so it doesn't heat up the kitchen nearly as much as conventional cooking. It is also extremely safe; if a pot is taken off the burner the process simply stops. Most burners will also turn themselves off in a couple of minutes if they sense there is no pot in place.
We use a counter-top induction burner for ~75% of all our cooking needs. It is excellent for slow cooking and we use it for that instead of carrying a crockpot. Ours has a temperature control mode which allows us to keep sauces and casseroles simmering at just the right temperature without scorching or burning.

We had Newmar install a new countertop and this cooktop in our RV in place of the wimpy propane one. We really like it. We went with the True Induction one because you can easily place two large pots on it at the same time, but it does take up more room.

I just installed the True Induction cook top in my American Coach missed it being factory by a yr. I had to cut the counter out larger very easy to do. My reasons for doing so are less heat, can use the stove top for counter storage area in a few minutes. It does use less power and cooks faster. I plugged mine into an outlet under the sink and now I can run it off my inverter. It boiled a pan of water in nearly half the time the electric top did it in. Another advantage any boil overs wont BAKE to the cook top since it isn't hot around the pan. BTW buy it on Ebay and get free shipping.
One other note the S2F2 is a counter top model and the S2F3 is the inset style.

We have a free standing Induction unit in the S&B and DW loves it. We both hate the electric cook top in the S&B and sorry we ever "upgraded" to it. I am the one that gets to scrub and scrub any boil overs, or who knows what burns on from the bottom of clean pans. We are really leaning to the Induction unit for the Entegra. Only draw back is....must carry heavier cookware, the lightweight aluminum will not work.
