Entegra Apire 40P Engine Compartment

Went to open the engine compartment which has the electric opener and will not open. Makes a high wining noise and tries to open. Only moves a few inches. Any easy way to get it open to work on it.

Sounds like one of your motors may of quit. With a bit of luck you can pull/lift on door while operating the switch. If you get it open, you can remove motors and operate door manually until you replace the failed motor. Your motors have bolts unless you have modified and installed clips as factory does now.

I’ve got two new motors in a box, Entegra was good enough to send them for my 2016 Aspire when one suddenly acted balky but then sold the coach before ever putting them on. PM me if you’re interested

Found out we have to replace both motors, can not just one. This is way we get two sent. Also according to manufactory they have upgraded due to water getting to motor.
