Entegra backup alarm question

I'm a bit concerned asking this since it's a safety issue, but has anyone figured out how to have an on/off switch for the backup alarm/beeping that occurs when you are in reverse gear? I would leave it on 99% of the time, but when arriving late at a campground I really would like to avoid waking everyone up if I'm forced to realign my position when setting up. I can't be the only one with this concern (I hope).

Mine is totally disconnected. Since I have a toad everywhere I go, I don't ever get a chance to back-up. The few times I do reverse without the toad, I just do it carefully, and quietly...

I found it annoying even during the day so I disconnected mine too. If you want it on a temporary basis, just cut the lead to and install a switch in series. You can run a cable up to the dash if you want the switch there or if you are not so ambitious, just mount the switch in the rear of the RV (inside in the closet or outside in one of the compartments/engine access area). Good luck.

How late is "Late" ? Regardless what you do, arriving after 8:00pm will awaken some. And yes, sometimes that alarm is annoying.

Thanks for the responses... I'll try and figure out how to put a switch on it. There are some circumstances where I like having it on, but many others where I want it OFF.

Where is the wire located you would have to put the switch on?

Open up the rear engine grate and you'll find the alarm and the wires leading to it - at least on our 2012 Aspire. The wires can be easily disconnected with the plug they used.
