We have the 2021 Esteem 27U, but I've not looked for the motors, yet. I have seen the motor for the kitchen slide. It can be seen by removing the kitchen counter drawer(s) and looking down and toward the front left corner of the coach. I have no idea how one might get to it, but hopefully it won't ever become an issue.
I have not seen the motor for the bed slide. The first place I would expect to look would be on the top of the slide, inside the coach, just outboard of the interior trim panel.
I'm not sure that there are any rails to "re-align", as those are gear driven with the drive gears engaging the "squiggly" strip along the top and bottom of the outside of the slide.
If our coaches are built like most RV's in the past, there is a way to manually extend and retract the slides without slide power. The instructions for doing that, if that can be done, should be in our owners manuals. However, I've found the manual to be pretty generic and not model specific. I do know that I did not find any long-shafted "speed wrench" tools in the coach, anywhere. So if it can be done, it could probably be done with a power drill and a socket or a ratchet and a socket. I don't know the answer to that.
PS: What did you think of the rat's nest under the bed???? CRAZY!!!!

Additional info from our owners manual:
Manual Operation for the flush floor slideout - Locate the crank extension under the inside of the frame (Fig. 1 and 2). Attach a standard fifth wheel landing gear crank handle, a 3⁄4” socket and ratchet, or drill and nut driver. (The crank extension they are talking about is shown in an image in the manual, but it is just a hex-stock sticking thru the frame, under the coach, towards the outside wall and extending just a few inches. It says it will accept a ¾" socket, ratchet or nut driver.)
Always disconnect battery from system prior to manually operating system. Failure to disconnect battery can cause electricity to back feed through the motor and cause serious damage to the system as well as void the warranty
NOTE: Our bed slide is not a flush-floor slide-out, but I would expect a similar capability. I don't know. With the bed slide elevated over a foot above the bed platform, there may or may not be a transition to allow that do be done from outside, under the coach. If not, that procedure may only work for the kitchen/dinette slide.
Use EXTREME CAUTION when extending/retracting the room us- ing the manual override feature. The gears can be stripped out if the room is manually retracted/extended to its fullest extent and the operator continues to rotate manual override. Damage can also occur to the slide components, slide room structure or trim components. Damages due to misuse of the manual override feature will void any and all claims to the Limited Warranty.
Rotate the extension clockwise to retract the slideout and counterclockwise to extend it. DO NOT attempt to disengage the motor as the actuator is “manual ready”.
You've got my curiosity going!

Ok, third time's a charm. I extracted the portion of our owners manual that applies to slides. You will need to pick and choose what applies to your coach, as like I said, their documentation is pretty broad and NOT model specific.
Anyway, hopefully this will get you there! Good luck!!
Cheers, and happy RV'ing!

Type of slide room is important. If you have the rails on the side of the room, the motors are in the wall. Also which room is also important. That will help identify where the controller is located. If you have the rails on the side of the room, you can locate the controller either under a cabinet or in a bay. You can read on top of the controller how to put in override move. Once in override you should be able to run the room.
If it’s a motor under the room, you can connect a battery directly to wires on the motor and run the room in that way. If the room won’t move that way, the motor had failed internally.
Can you provide a little more information on your slide room please.

We too just purchased a used Esteem 27U (2020 model with only 6800 miles).
From my initial investigations into "everything" I believe we have 2 different manufacturers of slide systems. The bedroom slide uses the Schwintek, while the kitchen slide is a Power Gear.
