While you were taking the tour did anyone from Entegra mention if they changed out the A/C systems yet on the newly produced units. Last meeting I had in June they were looking at upgrading the system.

I do not think an ac change is in the immediate plans. I was told by Entegra personnel last week that they are now concentrating on changes for the 2014 model year and would likely make no more changes until then.

There are plans to soon begin construction on a 150,000 sq ft addition to the factory to double production!

I talked to Tadd at Hershey and he mentioned that the addition to the plant is going forward. Hopefully it will be soon.

From what we are seeing in our own practice is that the recession or slowdown or whatever you might want to call it has hit some hard and some not at all. We are seeing some business clients that are having record years and some that are probably not going to make it.

We have noticed in our client's tax returns that the disparity of incomes has widened over the last 15 years or so. No political intent here, it is just something that we have noticed.

We are seeing the same thing and have been for years (both sides of the isle get the blame as far as I can tell). The rich get richer, the poor get breaks and otherwise taken care of and the great middle class that built this country and made it the envy of the world is fastly disappearing. While many have moved into the upper or upper middle class, some have dropped into the poor status and there are few true middle class, blue collar, solid family and community builders left and getting to be fewer all the time. All just my opinion.

No political intent is needed to see our country is not right with this much income disparity. I'm seeing the same thing. It's actually pretty disheartening to see hard working people who can't make ends meet anymore. Whatever political party you affiliate with, there needs to be fundamental change in our economy. Neither party seems interested in helping - sadly.

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming

There was a survey a while back and people were asked their opinion of Congress. The approval rating was something like 14%. Yet the vast majority of people said their respective Congress person was doing a good job.

Sadly we have become a nation of entitlement replacing accountability. I suppose that change has been happening for many years, but it does seem to be getting more prevalent in today's environment.

As we look at the income disparity and the see the specter of massive debt, it is hard to be optimistic about the future. But, what the heck, I still think an Anthem would be a pretty cool rig to own!

At the risk of sounding like I'm putting my head in the sand, sometimes it's best to take a break from the news I know it doesn't go away, but the constant bombardment gets pretty unpleasant after awhile. Perhaps sanity will return to our country before it's too late as more and more citizens say "we've had enough" and force a change back to common sense government and monetary/economic policies ...

i love the pictures! How organized were the work spaces? Did you feel the workers were doing things in a careful manner? You obviously took a great seat of time there. I wonder if they are rushing things now that they are so back ordered. I want to order an Anthem but having had other quality control issues with my previous bus I worry about the quality control at Entegra. How was your personal experience? I thank you for posting so many photos.

I don't have any photos but have taken the tour twice. The workers are busy but I don't consider them rushed. If you want to talk with them, they take the time to stop and chat. People are smiling and seemingly enjoying their work. I felt a sense of pride from everyone there. Managers were with the workers to help, not to "keep an eye" on them. I know mistakes and oversights happen on such a complicated piece of equipment, but the employees I saw were focused on what they were doing. I took a plant tour at another manufacturer a few years ago (starts with T and ends with n) and while impressed with the operation, the attitude of the employees and the workmanship I saw were not close to what I've seen at Entegra. No manufacturer is perfect, but these guys are really trying to get it right the first time. I was impressed and my coach construction backs up my feelings.

I hope this helps.
