Entegra Fridge Mounting Bracket

I am having to replace our Whirlpool Refrigerator unfortunately, removed it from the coach today….what a Pain. Finally got the core out, but I cannot remove the top mounting bracket as it is very well glued on. I reached out ot Entegra via email to see if they would sell me one, but haven’t had much luck with that approach on other things. So seeing if any other Entegra owners did the same and found a suitable replacement bracket?

If the old ice box is going to be recycled try heating the bracket where it is glued to the old unit using a propane torch. The heat should weaken the glue enough that you should be able to pull it off using pliers if it does not just fall off. Make sure you do this in a well-ventilated area well away from the coach with a fire extinguisher ready at hand.

You can use a micrometer to measure the thickness, draw the dimensions of the piece, and use a local metal fab shop to cut and bend you a replacement.

You might also check hardware stores or farm stores that carry stock metal pieces that might be close, then cut to size needed.

I cut mine off when I had the fridge out. Put the fridge back in without it. No problems

Possibly you should say: "No problems yet."

There have been posts here on the forum about friges leaning out and dumping contents on the floor. I don't want that luck, so I secure mine.
I also agree with heating to remove the bracket.

To reinstall I would test fit the bracket adjusting the bends so it fits flatly on the frig when installed, then coat it with a generous amount of JB Weld and install.

I have 5,000 miles on mine without the bracket.
The refrigerator is tight there is no way it can fall over

I was able to get it off using heat gun… not sure what type glue they used, assuming some polyurethane?? It’s green whatever it is. Now to see if can get
it on the new fridge that we just installed…see other thread.

I used a flat bar, hammer and a heat gun. Tapped it out afterwards used epoxy to put on new fridge.
