Entegra fuel economy
I few weeks ago I asked CS owners to share their fuel economy experience with me. One person replied that this subject was previously beat to death! I'm sure it has, but I haven't found much written. Some say that the CS should be about the same as the Anthem. But is it? I would like to hear from Entegra owners regarding their experience.
I have an anthem on order and look forward to maybe 7 mpg average? My Tiffin I just sold (360 HP) averaged 6 mpg while I owned it. And yes the fuel computer was perfect, I checked with every fill.
My concern is RANGE. I'm was comfortable with my tiffin Phaeton (100 gallons, 85 with reserve) taking me 510 miles between fuel stops. If the Anthem gets 7 mpg with 150 gallons (135 with reserve) I can travel 945 miles.
I still have time to change my order to a CS. If the CS had a 200 galling tank it would be an easy choice. If CS and Anthem get the same economy then it is an easy choice. However, if the CS averages 6 mpg (because of the larger engine and extra weight) with all else the same I can only travel 810 mile; 5 mpg and get 675 mile range!
I look forward to hearing from someone with experience.

We have the Spartan K3 chassis with a 600hp just like the CS. We only have 2k miles on so far but are averaging 5.6 mph traveling between 65 and 72mph pulling a TOAD. We have a 200 gallon tank. Are you sure that the CS doesn't have a 200 gallon tank?

You can count on 7-7.5 mpg in the Anthem. The computer says more but I don't believe it. I would expect the CS to get 6-6.5 and this is in line with what some CS owners have indicated. As for range, your calculations are correct. I usually get fuel after about 800 miles and at that point I take a little over 100 gallons.

X2 on 7-7.5 average w/driving, aqua hot, etc. I'm pulling about 7000#s and normally drive 65 mph. I can get 800, but usually fill up around 500 miles.

Dusty56 reported his MPG in a 2013 CS in a thread "Cornerstone vs: Anthem". He said, from his experience that he was get UP TO 7.5 mpg with the big Cummins at 65 mph. He also gave a lot of other comments regarding the K3 chassis and the benefits of it.
I have a 2015 CS on order and, to be honest, MPG was hardly a consideration. The other advantages of the K3 were my primary consideration. DUSTY56's mpg numbers are impressive but, I am not expecting that good of overall results when I get my coach.
But what you really need to decide is the cost benefit side of the equation. Let's say you get 7.5 mpg with the Anthem and 6.5 mpg with the Cornerstone. If you drive 10,000 miles a year (seems like a lot of miles), you would burn an additional 205 gallons of diesel. At $4/gallon that is $820.
I don't know about your situation but, I will stop for fuel a little more often (actually - very little) but get the benefits of a better ride, better acceleration, better performance in the mountains, and all the other CS benefits. To me it is worth the difference. However, we each have to make our own choices based on our own priorities.
Good luck with your decision. Anthem or Cornerstone? Hell, you can't go wrong either way!

Regardless of mileage number, Enregra will NOT customize a order unless it is a simple delete item xxx. They stopped customizing as a way of simplfying their construction and cost savings. So getting a 200 gal tank is something you'd have to get after delivery.

I wouldn't be thinking of doing that. I think it would be costly and would take away storage space.

2013 Cornerstone with just over 5,000 miles: 7.1 mph from on board readout, 6.82 doing it the old fashion way, miles/gallons. All towing a 2013 Wrangler Unlimited.

I budget 7 MPG with my Aspire with a 400hp Cummins ISL. I drive around 23,000 miles a year on average, and I would love a 200 gallon tank since most of my trips are 1000 mile 18 hour drives. If I didnt need every square inch of storage space, I would throw a 50gallon aux tank in a bay.

In your case, that 200 gallon tank would be a big benefit. Of course, you drive a lot more miles than the average guy. I can't imagine doing that.
Other than the King Aire, who else offers a 200 gallon tank on their coach?

14,000 miles and averaging 7.2 actual with a pen and paper, drive the speed limit up to 70 mph.
