Entegra Homecoming - Pumpkin Vine Trail

We are at Entegra Homecoming and thanks to some friends discovered a great walking / running / biking trail near the Elkhart Fairgrounds.

The trail is called Pumpkin Vine. It is off street, mostly paved, flat, and runs up to Middlebury from near the Elkhart fairgrounds.
We biked it today and it was a fun trip. About 11 miles to Middlebury one way.

Scenic trail through mostly woods but you pass a few farms as well. The sweet smell of early summer and fresh wildflowers are awesome this time of year. A great bike ride up to Middlebury for lunch.

If you are in Middlebury getting work done on your coach the Pumpkin Vine would be a fun run as well.

If your turn on the bike layer in Google Maps you will see the Pumpkin Vine Trail running from Middlebury towards Goshen IN.

Yes, great trail! There's also a parking area just around the corner from Entegra at this lat/lon: 41.656608,-85.714700. From there it's under 2 miles to downtown Middlebury and very scenic.

Both of these are nice to know. I took my ebike up with me last time, but with the Firefly problems I never got to take the bike out.

We road the trail during homecoming as well and it was a really nice ride. at about 11 miles in Middlebury there is a restaurant called Hilltop where we stopped for breakfast and headed back. It was open on Sunday morning.

Great! Not much open on Sunday otherwise. FWIW, the Hilltop used to be located on RT20 west of the Essenhaus, it burned down a few years back.
