Entegra - must call dealer for service? Or can you choose factory service?

Okay, we are trying to think of all points to consider when choosing not just dealership, but mfr for our new tag bath 1/2 coach purchase process.

We know with our current WBG, we have the option to call for factory svc ctr appointment at WBG in Forest City, IA. Based on our experience, WBG does not require that we go back to selling dealership for warranty svc for example. Fyi, WBG seems to be able to schedule maybe 25 coaches for each Monday of service appointments (some may only be a 1-day appointment, other repair appointment may be scheduled for 4 or more days). They always do an excellent job of taking care of our needs at WBG, Forest City, IA.

Does Entegra corp require you to return / try to do warranty service at Entegra dealership? And, if your choice either dealers OR directly to factory svc, how difficult (how many coaches at a given day can be accomodated ) at Entegra factory service? What has been your experience w Entegra factory service

Thanks for helping us understand how the Entegra factory service process might work as it will affect our decision process.

Service (warrantee) can come at the factory, the selling dealer, or ant other dealer/mobile repair person (with Entegra approval, which the selling dealer would obtain as well for any work done).

Service at the factory by appointment; usually some lead-time required, depending on the time of the year.

Entegra offers factory service, dealer service, mobile service and independent technician service all with Entegra approval and depending on what is needed to get the job done. We had a small roof leak while in Texas for the winter. Entegra sent a mobile technician out within a day or so after I notified them if the leak to get it fixed! Great service. Because of Texas law, I had to pay the tech and send Entegra the bill which they promptly paid back to me. On other, less important items that you will have you can work with Entegra customer service to find a dealer or tech to get them fixed in a timely manner. We are currently at the factory(scheduled ahead of time) to get small punch list of things adjusted and fixed. I shot Entegra will work with you on your schedule to get it fixed. All JMHO

In my opinion Entegra service can't be beat. They will work with you to take care of all problems. I prefer to not to have to return to the factory for work and am happy with a local approved repair facility or a mobile tech. If you do it in this manner be sure and save replaced parts as the factory will want them returned (most of the time). If you go with Entegra there is lots of help available on this site as well as thru their help line which will respond 24/7. I am not sure if any other manufacturer does 24/7. Our experience with Entegra as well as Spartan has been terrific.

I agree with the above posters. Any issue I have had, Entegra has authorized my local ma and paw RV shop to take care of it. And when I told them I needed an alignment and told them what local shop I wanted it done by - they said fine, have the shop send us the bill. No questions asked - wonderful!

AND, they will let you take it to a competing dealer in the same neighborhood if you wish. I got so hacked off at Lazy Days (Tucson) that I asked if I could use one of their competitors for warranty work, and Entegra said OK.
