I was just contacted by one of the owners who tends to gather with the rest of us at the Quartzsite Gathering telling me he had heard a rumor that there will be no 2023 Gathering. Absolutely not true !

Let me be very clear. I have every intention to publish the registration for Quartzsite 2023 by mid-September and I fully anticipate that Dee and I will be the wagonmasters for the Gathering. I also fully anticipate that we will be doing our 3 month trip out to the desert southwest again this winter (Jan to April, 2023)

I will send an email to all owners who have attended in the past and that email will go out first a week or so before the registration is posted on the ECOA web page. I am in the hospital for a bone marrow transplant (my own) and I will probably be wearing an N-95 mask all the time until my immune system is fully recovered, but I have every intention of being in Quartzsite bright and early and look forward to seeing previous attendees plus some new first timers.

We have an existing reservation in northern AZ with a slight overlap of the Quartzsite show dates, but we may be able to join for the last half of the gathering. Hope to see you then!

Hi Gary,

Wishing you the very best as you go through and recover from a bone marrow transplant. A very good friend went through that (twice, in fact) 8 years ago. Fascinating process and great results following her recovery. She jokes that her immune system is that of a child.

Gary we wish you a speedy recovery and I am sure you will be doing fine. We head to Quartzsite Sept 15th and we will get the signs setup ahead of time so no worries there. Keep our fingers crossed that the other group doesn’t take the great spot we had a couple years back.
