Lazydays did a great job on the CDS for my Entegra. I give them a 10. Spent hours going over everything, i took notes and Customer Service gave me a direct line to ask questions. They asked me to stay and enjoy their great site and came by my coach everyday and asked if they needed to show me how to operate anything. Remotes, DVD, Direct TV, how to air up, open and close slides, operate tag and special features on the generator. Taking the rig out during this time we found problems, it was brought right back to the shop and repaired. The CDS sheet that they had was extensive. Everyone gets the same treatment. When I left Lazydays i had no problem knowing how to operate almost everything. Cudos to LD.

Yep, agree LOTS of remotes. BUT, after I found out that one remote will control any and ALL of the tvs I just put all the others in a bag and put them in storage. That tv remove will control the surround sound and the DVD player as well, the only other remote I use is for the satellite. Just my experience.

Gene, when you turn on one TV, do all the others come on also?

Tom, if I am careful to point it directly at the mid coach tv I am USUALLY alright, If I am not careful where I point the front tv will come on when I turn the mid coach tv off. Have not had trouble with the other two coming on at inappropriate times. Really, it is way more of an advantage than a disadvantage, I like it really.

HdGoldie-- have you checked out the youtube videos that Entegra has put up, they are really very good and help a lot to cover many things that are lacking in the documentation. As to the CDI, I hope someday to buy a coach and have the guy doing the CDI know more about the coach than I do but I hold little hope that will happen. Entegra is trying but dealers are way more concerned with quick profits than spending money on a customer that they already have in the bag, a very normal and widespread way to do business. Even the very good dealers, where the owners really care about the customers, the delivery folks do not see the need OR do not get the training they need to do a thorough CDI. Some are better than others but as a whole this is a huge weakness in the industry. Entegra is taking steps to address this, I HOPE that they will be successful. I personally would like to see ALL the DOCUMENTATION AND EXPLANATIONS put on a CD that is sent with every coach, much as Spartan has done with each chassis but much more thorough. All just my opinion.
I'm with you on the CD. Would be much easier At least for this newbie.

We bought our Aspire 42' DEQ from Bob Ledford's in Greer, SC. This is our second RV and the experience at Ledford's was very good. Kevin was our salesman and he was not pushy. When it came time to work with the owner, he sat down with us did some numbers then asked what I was expecting to get from my trade and walk out the door. We were within $2,000 dollars of the price he had already written down. This was our first DP and asked many questions. I think the person who did our walk through was learning just as we were. We bought our DP in mid 4/12 and put about 3500 miles on it when I decided to go to the factory for the PDI - CDI or whatever it is called. It is 4 1/2 hours for us to drive to Greer, SC and 9 1/2 hours to drive to the factory. Going to the factory for the PDI and small fixes and to met the great service folk was a very very good idea. I am well pleased with Entegra and all of their people. Since it is so far to Greer, SC I asked Entegra (Joyce - what a great person to work with) if there were any other option for me in East Tennessee. They have a person they are already using for warranty work, so I am again satisfied.

With the numerous new Entegra owners coming online, and knowing the true importance of a PDI, I'd like to start a thread and rate the PDI that we each received by dealer. Let's leave emotion of the overall buying process out of it and just rate the dealer on their PDI- nothing else.

This could be valuable to new owners and could FORCE dealers to improve this critical step in the process if we are making buying decisions on PDI's too.

Here goes:

Dealer: RV Direct in Orando
PDI Rating: 2 out of 10
Comments: They said the person that normally handled their PDI's was gone the two days we were there. That said, they apparently had no one else on staff with a DETAILED knowledge of the Entegra for PDI purposes. Many of our detailed questions were answered with "well, I'm not really sure, you'll have to read the owners manual." We left the dealership pretty much to figure it out on our own. Yes, we could call a cell # for answers, but that got old quick.
Just recently found this site, and feel compelled to add to this thread. When we had our PDI/CDI at Colerain RV in Cincinnati, the dealer inspector said that the Entegra form was new to him. The coach was level, but he told us that the slope it was on precluded using auto level. Later we found that it would NOT auto level because the system had been installed backwards. The small white thermostat above the toilet was for "the heated toilet seat". They helped me program the door access code by taking apart the door handle (vice accessing the system below the dash.) All in all, I don't think they knew much/anything about the rig. We actually had to look for some things which required my initials because our "host" did not know where they were. I am hard pressed to give them even a one. As an aside, we took delivery in September, and have not heard from the dealership since.

If I was you, I would call Entegra and explain what happened. I bet they will have you take to a dealer of choice and get the pdi you should have recd.

To clarify so there is no confusion, Mark and Robin at RV Direct made countless follow up calls and continue to do so some 5 months after the sale. It was on me to let them know we weren't completely satisfied with the CDS (another item to note is that we were first time RV buyers- as such, we were just short of being RV incompetent). I kept quiet; in hindsight I should have been more vocal as they have been great to deal with. I highly recommend them as a dealer...but also recommend that you ask Mark for the "good" Customer Delivery Specialist

In all honesty, RV Direct has been great to deal with. So much so that we continue to recommend potential buyers to them.
I was at Orlando RV this past week to do some paper work and partial payment prior to delivery next week. At the visit I had brief inspection with diesel mgr ,Robin, who introduced me to Their Entegra specialist who will handle PDI. I hear there is a lengthy check list and that it should last about 3 hrs. That's a plus. I have no intention of final payment if multiple defects from the factory are not addressed . They are supposed to clean , detail and inspect unit before I return. We will see if that is true. I left multiple items in the coach to verify their intervention.
They did seem concerned but I would expect that during a sale.
What happens after PDI if problems are found? Does anyone have experience on what happens after the coach is delivered?
