Entegra Reatta Sideview mirror falling off

Looking for some technical help.
We noticed that the right side sideview mirror was shaking during driving. After calling Entegra for support they stated that the screws going into the mirror just need to be tightened, and that this can be done from the nose compartment.
Unfortunately lag bolts are used to draw the mirror into the fiberglass body and we cannot access the bolt heads.
The fiberglass is torn apart since there was no backing installed for the lag bolts to grab.
Does anyone know how to separate the mirror housing to access the lab bolts?
Also, does any one else see this problem, or was our built differently?

On my Travel Supreme (same mirrors) I fell of a ladder washing the windshield landing on the mirror tearing the lag bolts completely out of the fiberglass. Purchased large, matching head polished stainless steel machine screws with self locking nuts and large fender washers at Ace Hardware. 60,000 miles later, tighter than factory and looked as good.

Thank you for the quick reply. Sounds like Entegra should pay you to redesign the body for them. - metal backing with proper hardware is the key.

One question: How did you separate the mirror to access the bolt heads?

Mine were counter sunk chrome, phillips head lags into the fiberglass. I just looked at the mirror on the 21 and it has a cover over the mounting plate. I'll try to look at it in the daylight tomorrow.

Thank you, but no need.
We used pliers to back turn the lag bolts through the cracked fiberglass. Once the mirror assembly was off, we found that Entegra had glued the plastic cover to the mirror housing frame. A couple of cracks to the plastic cover later we were able to separate the cover from housing.
Stainless bolts, fender washers, and lock nuts should hold the mirror on until the fiberglass is repaired.

Thank you for the help, and to my wife and kids who let me instruct them through FaceTime tonight to get them back on the road.
