Had newmar dutchstar for 13 years, great coach, great customer service the entire time. We just purchased a entegra anthem and really like it so far. But have to say, warranty work is very slow and tedious process to get approved and done, even on a brand new coach. That part, Im very disappointed in. I believe they will eventually get everything fixed but waiting a month for parts on a coach only a month old just doesnt seem right. We also have a page long list of things for factory to fix and theres a six month wait list.

Love the buses 45 op floor plan and in the dark cabinets with the polo interior is a
Beautiful combination , in fact I think it’s the best out there...but didn’t hold a candle as far a build quality to a entegra.
Insulation and quiet riding not even in the same ball park...
I drove a 14 bus in the rain and couldn’t hear myself think... maybe the newer ones have stepped up... most entegra owners are ex tiffin owners mainly for this reason.. lots of post on tiffins not be able to hold a.c temps in hot wheather ..

My girlfriend used to own a Phaeton 36GH and I owned a 40QBH. When she got tired of the problems and noise and lack of insulation in the Phaeton she got an Aspire. I made the mistake (?) of driving her Aspire then did test drive of Aspire 42DEQ. Now I own one.
Recently met a couple who planned to buy Allegro Bus 37AP but after test drive ended up with Aspire 38M. From my experience Entegra quality is better and I would much rather have a 2 year warranty and make appointments for service rather than sitting in Camp Red Bay.

You're paying for those warranties.

2016 Dutch Star
We have ordered 2 new 5th wheels and the 2016 Dutch Star. In my opinion the dealer definitely makes a big difference. Based on the units that we have ordered I have come to the conclusion that the manufacturer feels that it is their responsibility to get everything CLOSE to where it should be. Some of the builders may get things closer than others. Then it is the dealers responsibility to get everything to work.
After the first 5th wheel I did more research before purchasing the second. We had the second 5th wheel only a short time because of my wife's health situation. We needed a motorhome for her. No real issues with the 2nd.
Before we purchased a motorhome I made the decision to visit the manufacturing facilities. We had never owned a motorhome and I wanted to make this decision only once.
We decided on the Newmar Dutch Star and purchased it through Coachlight RV in Carthage Missouri. We took delivery in June 2016. There have been some minor issues as I expected. However, there has been nothing comparable to the issues we faced with the first 5th wheel. Newmar and Coachlight have been great to work with. We have what I consider to be a minor fiberglass issue and Newmar told me to either bring it to Nappanee or get it repaired locally even though it has been over 2 years since we took delivery of the coach. We are very happy with the Dutch Star. If I had to do it over I would make the same decision.
I am not saying that this applies to Entegra but a few years ago I heard someone ask why a automobile manufacturer was offering a 100,000 mile warranty and another manufacturer wasn't. The person responded to the question that the second manufacturer did not have to offer the additional warranty to sell their cars. Our first 5th wheel manufacturer had a two warranty and I would not purchase another one if it had a five year warranty.

I also considered a 37 or 40' Allegro Bus. Both Entegra and Newmar have superior insulation, hung wall construction and flush wall slides. Big advantage with the Bus is the 150 gal fuel tank. In the end it was the 40' Dutchstar that floated my boat.

Actually they do two before it leaves. We have a few small ones like everyone else but the factory and service people have gone above and beyond to make it right. Go on a factory tour at newmar and entegra and see for yourself. I think newmar builds 19 a day and entegra builds 3 a day. We bought from Total Value TV in Elkhart and we dealt with Chad. Really a nice dealership

I have no idea what Entegra’s build rate is, but Newmar was doing 10 a day when we were in Nappanee last June with plans to get to 11 a day in the fall.
All build slots for 2019 models were sold out to dealers last April.

We are trying to lock in on a price on at 2019 Anthem 44B. Do you think that 35-38% off is possible on a 19 that's ordered in the next few months? We haven't hit the end of the '19 model year yet, and we thought that discounts were not so sweet at this point. Thanks!

No I do not think it is likely to get 38% and if 35% is approached it will be on left over 2019s after the 2020 comes out and Entegra would have to be kicking in rebates to move old stock. With that being said, there are a great number of unsold Entegras on dealer lots compared to history so it could happen at the end of the model year this year. ALL JMHO

There are still 2018s on dealer lots so those would be the best prices.

Who are all these ex Tiffin owners that went Entegra only because of insulation and where are all the posts about poor insulation?

I am one and know several others. If you have a Tiffin you don’t realize how poor the insulation is until you experience the difference. One easy test is sit in an Entegra in the rain and compare sound in Tiffin in same rain. Then drive Entegra and notice difference in noise.
