Entegra Wine Storage

Since I have been an A-ole, lately on whines...I decided I'd load a whine. What's with Entegra...there just isn't enough places to store wine. I wished they'd do something about it.

This is fair warning...you wine folks...if you come to wine country...just know, you have to drink it as you buy it.

For you oenophiles, better figure out where you're going to "rest" that wine before you come, because if you can't drink it as fast as you buy it, you going to run into space at the proper temperature issues

DW and I have been looking for a wine chiller that will fit in the forward compartment behind the door. Plan on tapping into the circuit for the Dometic freezer to power it. It appears that there is enough room for a smaller unit.

Pat Bauer has a great solution for wine storage; under the bed, several rows, stacked several layers high!

There is already power in that bay, but I don't know if it's on the inverter or not. I am mounting a slide out tool box there, but I sure debated on the wine chiller in that compartment. Now that our factory bedding is in storage, Pat's location under the bed might be just the ticket for us. We fill (and empty) the ottoman pretty fast.

Black Box Wine. You can't believe how many liters of wine you can store is a small place. We do keep a couple of real bottles for BYOB get to gathers but other than than it's Black Box.
Additional benefit is that it's not a bad Merlot, you can just have a glass when ever you feel like it without worrying about the rest of the bottle going bad. It's like, having wine on tap!

I have about 300 bottles in my S&B. Either this problem gets solved soon, or I better get drinking!

You guys must think much bigger if you are going to help him out. Dave has purchased enough wine to fill his bedroom. One possible solution is those of you who aren't coming to Summerfest, fly out to Paso Robles and help Dave drink his purchases.

I have a 2014 Anthem DEQ and can put 6 bottles in each of the two small ottomans, plus I can store about 8-10 bottler behind fireplace with some packing so they won't rattle. By then it's almost the weekend and I have to stock up again!!!!

Just say a fella wanted to store a few bottles of wine...until you could drink them. DW and I tried one of those Yuppie wine coolers, but since most are thermionic, they don't cool well unless placed in a well ventilated are like on your countertop. I searched the web for an inexpensive compressor type refrigerator that was small, and cheap. This one is nice because I keep it in my storage bay and it has an adjustable temperature control. I keep it at 62f for red wine and it keeps my beer reasonably cool. Granted it's redneck, but I use a bungee cord to secure the door. The best part is, it is $115 at any Walmart (you have to Internet order it). Here's a pic in my Anthem44B.

So Russ has started to address the whine...Pat, sorry, but the under bed storage is used up. Dave - a wine cooler is a great idea, but the DW has too many bottles of white (by the way, keep reading reviews that say they only last a year). In any event, i started this thread as a bit of "shame on me" after stirring so much trouble up on the wiring diagram, there is just a little jest and a little sarcasm in the thread. But wine storage is becoming a problem!

Exactly what we had in mind. Was apprehensive about the Thermionic units because of their cooling capacity. This looks like a great solution. Should be able to store enough wine for a long weekend.

Dave, wine storage is a problem in an Entegra, so it is a good post. I learned from a post a long time ago and from Wineman about the ottoman idea and purchased one before the MH arrived. Then Vance posted Pat's storage area and that should hold a few cases when we make it to the west coast. If I had Wineman's fireplace panels I would build a wine rack on both sides, but the panels don't come off on the RBQ
