Evans Tempcon Dash Air Issue

Has anyone ever had the Dash Air conditioning unit serviced on the Coach in Vegas. Compressor will not stay on. Had unit evacuated and 2.5 pounds of 134A put back in. Compressor starts and stops and once in awhile it will stay on for a period of time. Evans Tempcon centers are hard to find that take our size Coaches.
When the unit is on I hear a clicking when it starts and stops as if a relay is opening an closing. Condenser fan works along with compressor so I can watch it start and stop. Thanks in advance.

I used a TempCon service center in Miramar, CA. They were excellent. I know that is a drive from you, but I had my dash AC serviced there and it operated bullet proof thereafter

Any truck shop specializing in a/c work can handle your coach. Check truck refrigeration, like Thermo-King, to see if they do ac work, most do and can easily handle the intricacies of rv air conditioners, our systems are pretty archaic.

That can happen to too much or too little 134 put in. I put too much in the late wife's Civic and found that out. Should work fine this year though since some has leaked out by now.

X2 what Gary said. An RV dealer "tried" to fix mine, that lasted about 2 months. Took it to a truck shop in Traverse City MI, it has not blown this cold even when new.
Long story short, my compressor was bad. The RV dealer chased leaks that weren't there for $750. An entire A/C system, compressor, dryer, vacuumed down, leak check from the truck shop was only $1,080. and they fixed the problem.

We appreciate the info from everyone. Have located what I believe to be a leak back near the compressor. Taking the Coach to a shop in the morning in hopes they can take care of this before we hit the road for the next 6 months. Thanks again for the info.
