Extension for dump hose

I am looking for a hose that will attach to the existing "dump" hose installed on our 2016 Aspire. I would like to have an additional ten or fifteen feet.

Has anyone successfully added an extension? Clearly tight connections and no leaks are a priority.

I may never use it, but would like to have.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Is it the standard 3" hose? I've used the Blue Line fittings for years since they fit in the storage tube on the Dutch Stars. They make an extension fitting just for that purpose as do almost any other brand.
If you have the macerator pump then you can buy extension hoses for it too, I bought a 25' extension for mine.

Has anyone come up with a way to install a clear section to either the macerator hose or fitting that goes in the ground?

Tommy (Anthem46) showed us something out in Big Sky that he had put together. I wish I would have taken a picture of it. Looked like it would work well. Maybe he will chime in here with the parts list.

X2 on the Prest-O-Fit Blueline sewer hose.

I've been using the hoses and the various pieces/parts incluided in this "kit" for 15 years: https://accessories.lazydays.com/pre...FYSFaQodbCUFeA

Seeing as how you mentioned the hose that came with your 2016 I'm going to assume that you mean the Sanicon Turbo hose, not the 3" slinky, which is obviously available in many flavors, shapes and sizes all over.

The Sanicon Turbo is more powerful and faster than the original Sanicon. The original uses a 1-1/4" hose while the Turbo that you have uses a 1-1/2" hose. Be careful when ordering a hose so that you get the correct size because the newer hose is harder to find. I wound up getting mine right from Thetford. The Thetford part number is 97521 and it includes another hose, a connector nipple and two clamps. You'll actually see a picture of it on page 11 of the manual that came with the Sanicon Turbo. You can combine these if needed to reach some pretty fair distances but if I recall those hose kits are around $75 so you'll want to weigh that into your decision.

Or you can go with a bunch of 3" slinky hoses and use the bypass dump port but then you need to store the larger hoses as well.

I just paid Thetford $104 plus shipping for a new 1.5" with connector and clamps.

I changed my sanicon to cam lock fittings ( Amazon ) at both ends and took the grey sewer head off adding a 2' section of 1 1/2 " reinforced semi clear hot tub/pool filter hose available at Home Depot, Lowes or many other hardware stores. Works great !

I have simply screwed a garden hose onto the end of the macerator hose. You need to leave the cap on to make this work. I do this after a trip and before I put my coach at the storage lot. I dump the stuff into my home sewer system by removing a clean out cap. If you have all the connections tight you will not have any leaks. When we are parked long term I use the slinky. I only use that garden hose to wash the coach.

Robert, my .02¢..

..The Sanicon Turbo is a good macerator, the hose isn't to be trusted.

My hose sprung a leak after about 8 uses. Add to this fact the PVC is running uphill to the hose storage, and the overall execution of this system is less than desirable.

While the jury is still out on the longevity of the macerator, I no longer use the hose.

I removed the entire PVC pipe and hose apparatus from the coach and replaced it with a 1 1/2" turndown through the deck to exit the body of the coach underneath. I haven't yet completed this project to include cam lock connections and hoses, but that is next.

Currently, I'm using a Sewer Solution connected directly to the 3" sewer bypass port. While this doesn't take advantage of the macerator function within the coach, I still evacuate waste using a externally mounted water driven macerator.

I've used this Sewer Solution for over 5 years without issue. To extend the required length, I merely add sections of 1" PVC to achieve the desired length.

I can carry (6) 24" sections in the Sewer hose holder in the DS forward basement area. The rest of the Sewer gear now resides within the old Sanicon Turbo hose storage. In fact, I have my backup 3" stinky slinky, all the various PVC fittings, and the Sewer Solution living in this space.

Considering my success with the SS, I may completely abandon the Sanicon Turbo.

One factor is the elimination of the powered macerator would provide a convenient location to mount my onboard washing equipment.

-Matt

Thanks for everyone's suggestions, pics and insight on how they handle. It doesn't sound like there is a simple extension that can be purchased that will screw on to the end of my existing hose. Thanks again
