extension hose for Macerator

has anyone obtained a good extension hose given that the new macerator hose seems to be shorter? I think the hardest part of this is getting the quick disconnects, etc that work well.
thanks

I believe any 5/8 garden hose will screw on the bottom.

Van, 5/8" hose works just fine. It might be a tad slower, but works just fine.

My current setup is a modification of the original plumbing.

I installed an elbow and exit the coach wet bay floor, then immediately go to 5/8" garden hose as Dave suggested.

No slinky, and no exploding macerator hose.

I have heard that using a hose slows the empty speed down quite a bit and the the motor might time (or heat) out. Looking to get a larger diameter hose, one that matches the existing hose.
thanks for the input
Van

You can order longer hoses on Amazon. I ordered a 10 foot extension for mine, it came with a hose union.

Van, here is a thread with my testing..

http://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/mace...-275899-9.html

In short, you're not going to overheat the pump, and if 5 minutes is OK, then go for it.

Since I first tested this, I've used it many times and find it to be very effective.

Anybody ever tried one of these hose types for the macerator hose:

Hoses & Fittings | Discharge & Suction Hoses | Apache 98138010 1-1/2" x 25' PVC Lay Flat Discharge Hose w/ M x F Aluminum Short Shanks | B484020 - GlobalIndustrial.com

I believe there to be at least one member who has tried the discharge hose solution.

I looked into it, but decided against it in favor of an ordinary garden hose setup.
