Fan constantly runs
15 Cornerstone, We can hear a fan running directly under our sink cabinet doors. Sound is coming out of wire vent on the floor. I'm wondering what is making the sound. Can't figure it out. Aqua hot switches are off, and the fuse to Aqua hot is removed. Just started two days ago! Any help appreciated

Might you be hearing the fans from the inverters, or the fan for the heat exchanger at the sink cabinet has gone bad and is running continuously.

Since it is at that vent location, I would guess it to be Aqua hot related. But with switches off and fuse pulled is puzzling. It keeps me awake at night!

If you unload that drawer and remove it you will have access to the fan to see if that is the culprit. I think those small fans are not designed for 24/7 operation.

Sorry, just checked mine and there is a little more involved. The brackets for the drawer slide will have to be removed and then you will have access to the screws that hold the 1/4" plywood sheet at the base of the cabinet.

You mentioned the aqua hot is off. What about the thermostat - does that read System Off?
Also, is the basement heater thermostat turned off? I would get down into the storage bays underneath and try to pinpoint the source.
Inverter fans make noise too - turn your inverters off as a test.

You will never guess what it was. After calling CS and removing a couple fuses and still heard the noise, they said they would call me back to let me know which wire to cut, because they thought it was a pinched ground wire to the Aqua hot. I decided to make sure I had satellite signal to the outside TV. When I lifted the door the radio was on at about half volume, and nothing but static. Turned radio off and noise was gone. Who would have thought! Thanks for all your help!

I have also had neighbors turn on my outside TV with their remote, so I now keep it unplugged except when I am using it.

Don, I agree about the sunshade! Being a retired Air Traffic Control Operations Supervisor I can appreciate anything aeronautical! I need to find one with a radar screen on it! hahahaha
